• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanksgiving Contest AKA Once upon a time..

I am thankfull for my Spyder... because it has changed my life. I was introduced to motorcycling in 2000. I had already suffered a back injury while serving as a Peacekeeper in the middle east. After a few years of riding cruisers & my Gold Wing it became evident that my two wheel days were...

I've hit 60,000 KMs in 715 day with 930 hrs on the motor. This works out to... 84 KMs a day 64.5 KM/h average speed. This is 37,282 miles which means... 52 miles a day 40 MP/h average speed. I'm still averaging 35 MPG. Very satisfied Spyder owner.

    Front Sprocket

Yeah, it's a bit of a set back for me, but with 59,000 trouble free (more or less) KM's... I can shrug it off. It's been good to me. Plus, working in the service dept at a dealership, I've let my machine become a guinea pig for the techs to practice their skills on. I love ryding it... and do in...

    Front Sprocket

There is no indication of rust or corrosion damage. Just the sprocket being sloppy on the spline. We're going to replace the sprocket as the shaft seems good. It's back together right now, but I'm not riding it 'till the new sprocket is on. I'm not taking a chance again. Still, with 59,000 KMs...

    Front Sprocket

Now that's what I needed to see. Mine, has a huge gouge caused by the sprocket being loose on the spline. Thanks Lamont.

    Front Sprocket

OK, I've got just over 59,000 KM's and the front sprocket fell off. Bolt came loose and off she came. Had my tech fix it... 200 KM's later, off it comes again. This time it looks like the sprocket has been wiggling on the spline and has gouged a ring into the metal of the engine. We're going to...

Where's the brake squeal service bulletin?

Tell your dealer to look for the bulletin dated Dec 18, 08 numbered #2009-4. It deals with the new brake pads.

Audible click when braking to a stop.

I have the same thing, I notice it when I reverse and stop, then on my 1st stop going forward. My tech can't hear it... but then he's old & going deaf.

62k miles.... now you see it and.... now you don't

Hey Nick, don't feel bad. You can still hook up to BUDS and it should show the true milage. You're still the milage King!!!

    July Marcels Lowers Exhaust Problems

I have the 25" and the deflecters. What a difference. My wife, who rydes with me a lot, noticed less buffetting right away. In the rain, less wetness on my legs, blows the air out and around from my body.

EVERYONE READ THIS PLEASE!! SHIFTING ISSUE

We had a demo unit that someone stood on the shifter and did the same thing. It's not a defect, it's ignorance. That's why I don't let anyone get on mine until I show them how.
