• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Ultimate Lowrider Seat

Ultimate offers a Lowrider version of their seat for the ST that they say maintains the same rider height as the stock ST seat but moves you 2" closer to your handlebars. I was going to change my handlebar riser to shorten my reach on sharp turns. I am in the market for a more comfortable seat...

    Modifying stock ST exhaust

Update and Thanks SPYD3R!!!!! As you can see in earlier posts SPYD3R (Dan) offered to help me with my mission as he has modified numerous Spyder mufflers. Dan sent me a RS muffler that he had cut apart, gutted with the exception of 1 baffle, and shortened by 6". He would not let me pay for...

    BajaRon ?

Ordered from Value Accessories Thanks for the heads up on Ron everyone. I placed an order with Value Accessories 10 minutes ago. He has them in stock, the price is good, he offers free shipping on orders over $100, and I should have them on Wednesday. On top of that, he is very pleasant to deal...

    BajaRon ?

Anyone know where I can purchase a BajaRon Anti-Sway Bar and Billet Heim Joints for a 2013 Spyder ST? I have been trying to contact BajaRon direct via private message, email, text message, and his cell phone for a week with no response. My dealer is installing the 2014 vented replacement panels...

    Front Mud Flaps

I Give! The responses seem to be unanimous. Keep the mud flaps and add lighting to dress them up as well as improve visibility to other motorist. Plus, I do ride in the rain so it makes sense from that perspective as well. I still think they are ugly, but I have been a Harley rider for 30+...

    Front Mud Flaps

Point well taken JuanZX2, Thanks - your point is well taken. Do you think that the fender lights make you more noticeable than the fog lights and LED front turn signals do?

    Front Mud Flaps

Thread placement After I started this thread in ST Tech Forum I noticed that a lot more members were active in the General Spyder Tech so I copied it to that forum was well. It was a good decision as I have numerous responses to the other forum but only your response on this one. Sorry if I...

    Front Mud Flaps

Lighting Upgrades I agree that replacing the cheap reflector with a running/turn light would be a upgrade that would improve both the looks and functionality but $160 for the mud flap light plus $60 for the fender tip kit (necessary to make the mud flap light dual function) seems excessive. If...

    Front Mud Flaps

I hate the cheap looking mud flaps (and even cheaper looking reflector) on the front fenders of my 2013 ST and want to get rid of them. I removed the 2 screws used to attach them to the inner fender but I am left with about 2" of the inner fender with the 2 mounting holes exposed. I am thinking...

    Modifying stock ST exhaust

THANKS!!!! Dan, Thank you for the pics! Now I see what I am up against. I have few questions for you: 1. I do not want to cut my muffler apart and weld it back together. Do you think I would see any additional benefit if I just took a large hole saw and opened up the rear end of the muffler but...

    Modifying stock ST exhaust

Update I removed my end cap again last night and drilled the 4 holes through both walls per chief49 - this is in addition to cutting the 2 down pipes off flush with the rear of the muffler. The sound is not a lot louder than stock but the tone is very deep. I am very pleased for the results...

    Modifying stock ST exhaust

Thank you Flamingobabe and question for chief49 Thanks Flamingobabe - these 2 threads are fantastic. Really opens up the possibilities with a little imagination and a willingness to experiment. Update on my progress. I removed the end cap and cut the two downpipes off flush with the back of...

    Modifying stock ST exhaust

Before I change to an aftermarket exhaust (Yoshimura) I would like to see if I can get a little more sound out of my stock system. I am not looking for any power gain - just a little more sound. It is easy to see the layout of the cat and muffler but no way to see the inside of the muffler. I...
