• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Info for ride from ABQ to Durango

Alternative Route I am thinking of staying in Moriarty. Would highway 41 to 285 be an okay way to get to Santa Fe? Alternatively, would highway 550 be an okay way to get to Durango? I seems like 550 may be a very long way between gas stations.

    gas mileage

Cruising in the country at 50 - 60 mph I get an easy 35 mpg, sometimes even a little better. On the highway at 70 mph I get about 30 mpg. At 80 mph I am somewhere below 30 mpg. It doesn't make much difference whether I am on the RT or the GS/RS. It makes a lot of difference what you do with your...

    2009 roadster value

If you approach the Spyder with the expectation that it will replace a Harley, you are making a mistake. The Spyder is not a replacement for a Harley. The Spyder is a fun machine in its own right. In the past, I would tell my friends that the Spyder was 85 percent as much fun as a Harley. With...

Spyder RT Limited or Harley Davidson Triglide

I am 1/2 Harley person and 1/2 Spyder person. I have owned many Harleys, including a Harley Trike. I am on my third Spyder. I love them both. In my opinion, the Spyder is safer. It is better to have the two wheels in the front. Imagine yourself going down a steep grade in the mountains and...

    evo sway bar bushings

If this is all you have, give it a try. Keep an eye on them to see any deterioration. If they fall out, you will know it because there will be a loud noise when you go over a bump. I had this condition on an oversized vehicle I once owned. In that case it was a very loud noise. New bushings...

    evo sway bar bushings

Give the OEM bushings another try. I had to use an OEM bushing on my 2009 GS temporarily until I could get a replacement from evoluzione. It fit.

I have been at this for a very long time and I have never found rain-proof gloves that I was happy about. I am still looking.

Hour Meter stopped - 1070.9 Hours

My odometer has long ago reset to zero. Since then I have had the "fix". I am now waiting to find out if the fix prevents the second reset to zero. It will take a while because my RT is absorbing the largest share of my miles. I will report on the big event when it happens.

    LIMP.... CHECK ENGINE

Hange in there, Forrest I took delivery of my 2011 RT on February 5, 2011. The original throttle body experienced the first signs of failure at Spyderfest in late April. Nevertheless, I was able to ride it back to Florida with ever deteriorating performance. Of course, at the time I didn’t know...

Carrying a small dog with us...?

This was developed as a R&D project to test an idea. It was not actually used other than for a brief trip down the block and back. As you can see, more work is needed. Zeus seemed to enjoy the ride, but it is difficult to keep an eye on him while riding. I would not recommend this solution. For...

Bearings for 08 GS rear rim

You don't want the bearings for a 2008GS. BRP upgraded the bearings in 2009. Use the 2009 part numbers. They fit. In 2008, two of the three bearings were made in China. The third one was made in USA. In 2009, all three of the bearings were made in the USA.
