• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    cat delete negatives?

Duuude Dude, I wasn't alluding, agreeing, or disagreeing to/with anything, I just copied from the manual, to answer SailnDive's question. ...AND I probably will install a CAT-delete after my warranty expires to be on the safe side :) Alright, a serious question then: how do you pass emissions...

    cat delete negatives?

I didn't come up with it You can read the manual or call any dealer. Akropovic is fine because it's "approved" by BRP - read between the lines. Any "unapproved" modification will void the warranty - it's written in the warranty card. I didn't come up with it, I wasn't even using my memory, I...

    Riding mountain roads

One pedal to rule them all Spyders have one brake pedal that actuates all three disk brakes. There's also an EBD - electronic brake distribution, and ABS. The computer is smart enough to figure out which wheel has more traction and applies more brake force there. Don't use electric parking...

    Potholes

Yeah, we had a nasty winter, and now all roads are messed up. I'm usually pretty good at navigating around the potholes, but two days ago I went on a ryde and missed one. My front left wheel, however, found it, and I had a nasty jolt, something hit and cracked, the whole Spyder veered to the...

What about Riders 1st motorcycle being a Spyder?

I am that person :) I've never owned a motorcycle, but always wanted one, and yeah, I bought the Spyder with all those safety things you mentioned in mind. Now, having said that, I took MSF course, bought a dozen or so books and read them all, including "Twist of the wrist" and "Proficient...

How long can I leave my Spyder in the garage without starting it up/taking it out?

a month is fine According to user manual Can-Am recommends charging battery after a month of not riding. Anything before 30 days is fine. Remember, the battery discharges at a rate of about 1% / day. You don't want the battery drained past 50-60%

Ural with a sidecar? Bryan, I join others for commending you for doing everything in your power make your little girl happy. shifting

sounds like... it sounds like your clutch doesn't fully disengage. When on flat surface with your clutch pulled in and in 1st gear release your brake. If your byke moves, then the clutch is slipping. A cable adjustment or topping off hydraulic fluid should do the trick

Is it ok to skip through gears when downshifting?

Understood Yes, I understand that :) I've driven manual cars all my life, just not sequential gearboxes. I was talking about situations where you cruise in 4th, and then you see a red light and a bunch of cars stopped beyond the curve in the road, or a stop sign, and you need to stop fairly...
