• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Toyota Now Considering Steering Recall

BJT I have no doubt that what you are saying about GM CORP is true. As to what organization would operate in such a wastefull manner....look no farther than the Gov. They are now in the drivers seat, great. Examples of this kind of nonsence are LEGION in Gov run programs IE the military. Here is...

    Toyota Now Considering Steering Recall

People are not happy with the GOV take over of these auto makers so they don't buy from them. GM was in a pickle of its own making, largly due to the unions who now own part of the PIE....what a bunch of crap!!! A smear campain about a COMPETITOR is quite another thing, its not tit for tat. I...

    Toyota Now Considering Steering Recall

Is it just me...... or do the feds seem to be making a bigger deal of this than in past recalls? Seems to me that the Gov involvment in GM and Mopar may create a conflict of interest. GM and Mopar stand to profit greatly from Toyota's woes. :dontknow: RAL

    Stock Exhaust - adjustment/baffle?

Everything is louder than stock. Your bike is a very quiet bike unless your muffler has been gutted. How quiet do you want.......the wind noise is louder at 40 than these bikes? I guess you could frankenstien some big honking muffler on there but I bet you will lose power and milage. Give it...

    Spyder values and the Economy?

Look at it like you are buying the Spyder. Would you pay $12000 for a 08 when you can get a new one for not much more? If you want the other bike...take the $11000 the dealer offered you and run. RAL

    SE down shift RPMs

At what RPM does the SE generally auto down shift. Trying to see what the Rotax people think is acceptable for the lower rpm range. See many cautions about running the engine at lower RPMs but shes has a lot of ump in the low end. Some on here seem to think running below 5000 will hurt the...

    Auxillary Fuel Tank Installed!

That depends how fast you travel, how hard you twist the throttle to get up to speed, weight of load ( you + passenger + gear) and your machine. If you travel between 45 and 55 mph, don't take off like a rocket and you have not moded it for more scoot you might travel 250 miles (it...

    Auxillary Fuel Tank Installed!

Like I tell the younger hands at the safety meetings, "If you see something that seems unsafe to you but you just walk off and someone gets hurt because of it, you own part of that accident. No one will likely know but you will have to carry it with you." You are not a nay sayer, you are only...

    Yoshimura carbon fiber exhaust

Thanks Ron, I was a bit discouraged till you and Crusher posted. 15% is really more than I hoped for. A deeper (not louder) tone on the exhaust, a little more juice and a bit of a gain in milage would be great. What exhaust do you run? RAL

    Yoshimura carbon fiber exhaust

All true but I learned at a much younger age that loud pipes and more fuel often is just more noise and expense with little real gain. I was hoping to tap into some of the knowlege on here as to what works to improve efficiency. I put a K&N in My Ural and ditched the CATS. While many said I...

    Yoshimura carbon fiber exhaust

Thanks for the replies. Don't really want the bike to be louder. A throatier sound with a little extra kick would be great, a little better mileage would be even better. A better air filter and a little better exhaust is all the mods I want to do, I have no interest in a JB or other fuel sucking...
