• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    EBC brake pads & rotors...

Does anyone have the part number handy for the Gen 3 pads? I'd like to make sure I'm ordering the correct part.

    Useable downforce

This comes to mind. I'd use wing nuts so you can remove it as soon as you get a good look at it.

    Bought a Food Thermometer Today

I'd be curious to know how hot it typically gets inside the gas tank. Of course, I'd also like to know how hot it is in front of my kewl metal air cleaner, compared to the AAPTS in the front of the vehicle. I'm sure that the engineers considered this when they tweaked the engine management...

    Question about rims

I just posted about aftermarket wheels. :gaah: The company is Ride Wright Wheels. The web address is: http://www.ridewrightwheels.com/ . I don't have to use adapters. I did have to buy lug nuts for tuner wheels, but that was an easy fix. Check out the different styles on the web site. They...

    great mileage...turn your JB down!

It does this, because the popping is usually an indication of a lean condition caused by the improved flow of the exhaust and intake. That's why I'm a bit confused about the original post saying that backing off of the JB solved the popping issue. Maybe someone can weigh in with a good...

Repainting from another color to a black type

I had mine painted without any problems. Price varies greatly, but you'll also have to remember: You get what you pay for. So be aware when you go get bids. A $600 paint job will look like a $600 paint job.

I think it will take other manufacturers producing some competition before we see anything like that, if ever at all.

    seen the new trikes?

Although the website is still up, the company hasn't been doing anything for a couple of years. I emailed the owner in early 2008 with interest to buy, and he said they were still seeking investors. Not long after that, I received information that they were auctioning off the factory and...

same tire on front and rear

I'm not sure that it would grip well in water. That wouldn't have bothered me much in the past. I have been a mostly fair-weather rider, until I go cought in a major storm yesterday. I was considering getting one of the racing spec rear tires until I realized how important it is to be ready...

    Front Tires

Unfortunately, from my experience at the dealer I bought mine from in North Kansas City and from many accounts I've read on here, a disturbing number of dealers are more concerned with bringing in a dollar than doing quality work or providing a fair service to the customer. I understand that a...

    Mels Monster Garage passenger backrest

It attaches to the seat mounting pointing points with the seat hinge screw going through it as well. The pipes that hold the posts of the backrest have little set screws to hold the backrest firmly when it is mounted. It is very secure, and my wife feels much safer with this than she did...

    Questions for all

1 full-face and 1 3/4 will fit, but as mentioned before, two full-face will not fit in the trunk. The bars/risers and a new windshield will probably be your first changes for comfort reasons. Beyond that there will be things you'd like to do, but the first two are almost a must to be...

    In-progress Handlebar Mod

I found my bars on ebay. You can choose from any 7/8 inch that have rise and pullback that will work with the stock cables and wires. If you do need longer cables, Kewlmetal sells them. I wouldn't go any greater than around six inches of rise and a couple inches of pullback. Someone else on...

    In-progress Handlebar Mod

I haven't been hit by any debris, and there is no dust or rocks that make it to face level. I haven't ridden in heavy rain, but the light rain still isn't a problem. Thanks to everyone else for the nice comments. I looked today at a couple of bike shops, but still haven't found anything to...
