• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

who got what goodies for Chriatmas??

Hubby got me a heated jacket liner and a new taillight from NMN. I love it! I got him a radar gun, which he has to scare the crap out of me when I am pulling onto our street and the radar detector lights up. Why he wanted one, who knows. But it is fun to see how fast people are going driving...

Had my Spyders hauled to FL, great shipper

That is fantastic info. I know many people who would rather ship their bikes to an event than ride them, me included. Thanks you for the info! Joyce

    Smile

When I lived in NY I never got a ticket, got pulled over almost every week, but no ticket. My dad is a retired State Trooper. Now I live in Florida and have received my fair share of tickets. I had to get a radar detector, but that still didn't stop me from getting a ticket. So now I just...

Social commentary, as seen elsewhere on the 'net ...

Oh I love that quote. Living in Ormond Beach where Bike Week and Biketoberfest is held, we see a lot of new bikers or bikers who haven't been ont heir bikes in awhile. It shows. Hubby and I like to just people watch and see what happens. You see a lot of crazy things. People just picking up...

    Is this anyone we know?

could be my husband. Just kidding. Apparently he went out on the spyder to check the brakes and he was at a stop sign right by our rode. He went to rake off and lit up the back tire. Then yesterday he did the same thing on the way to the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona with me on the back. He...

    Roadster or Trike?

I usually ride in the middle of the group, but if it's raining, I move to the back, due to the earlier mention of the "rooster tail". Found that out when me, my parents and husband went up to Georgia. Hubby was tail gunner and I was in front of him. It started pouring and he couldn't see a...

Diet (mini) Florida Coast to Coast

I Love the European Schnitzel house. Awesome food and beer. Too bad I was working and couldn't join you. Looks like everyone had a great time. Joyce

    MC Tire changes?

I had to go to Discount tire to put the new tire on the rim, then went to Daytona fun machines to do the balance. Discount's balancer is too large to fit the rims in. They tend to slide too far in. A bit of a pain, but at least I know it's done right.

    Owners without problems - Rollcall

I have an "08 SE5 and have had no problems. I fall in love with this bike more and more each time I ride it. I have not had the update to the update, still unsure if I will, considering the problems some have had with it. I enjoy riding with my husband every chance we get. Joyce A VERY HAPPY...

    Daytona Biketoberfest

Thank you. Yesterday we went to an autocross at the speedway, both had very respectable times. Hubby looks good and a bit scary when he's racing. Such concentration. Anyway, when we were planning our wedding we had to plan it around Biketoberfest and Fantasyfest in Key West, where we went on...

    Daytona Biketoberfest

I will certainly be there. I only live about 10 min. away. Okay if hubby tags along on his Harley? We don't see much of each other and it's our 7th wedding anniversary. Joyce

    Like what I see RT

In watching the GW in action in Georgia the only comment I can give is the bike defies logic. The way he had the thing going around the twisties and just leaning, you think it would just tip over because of the weight. He was just throwing that thing around as if he was on a lesser weight...

    Spyder running like crap!

I got some bad gas in Georgia and boy did I notice right away. Let hubby know the symptoms and he could hear it too. Immediately upon firing it up it sounded different. He put in Techron which cleared it up some, then ran the tank down and put in a better grade of gas. Now she's smiling and...

    Unsafe Ryder

That is one reason I don't ride my own bike when we go for a group ride with people who I have never ridden with before. I hop on the back of hubby's bike (see hubby, this is how you can get me back on the back of your bike). My parents have a habit of riding an inconsistent speed which is...

    Hindle exhaust and gas smell

Once again, I had to point it out to him after spending a good portion of the day in a haze of gas fumes. At our last stop I decided to check to see if maybe the cap was on correctly, nope. Accidentally cross-threaded so it didn't seal. Oh well. Live and learn. Now I double check it before...

    I created a monster.

Had a 2 wheel and I could not get comfortable on it either. In the 5 years I owned the Suzuki SV650, I maybe put 300 miles on it. Can Am was doing a test ride at the dealership where my husband was picking up his new GW that weekend. Coincidence? I think not. Anyway, I wanted to go on the...

    Was backfiring pretty bad today

I had the same thing happen when we were up in Georgia. The bike was running great until we filled up at the Circle K. Then the bike was backfiring, no guts, and running very rough and hot. Hubby put in some techron and some high test to clean it out. Ran much better after that. Ran the...
