• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    XM MP3 Player

Oops, I may not have the same one. Mines the Sirrius Stilletto line. I thought that they were all the same setup. Mine has the earbud headphones. It works well for general outdoor portability but won't work worth a darn with a helmet for obvious reasons. Max

    Interesting octane question

I ran the bike down to Calgary last weekend and at around 3500 ft. ASL I could only get a ethanol blend at 91 octane. Bike didn't seem to mind until I got to the city and up to 5 bars of temp. It started to stutter and the flat spot at 3500 rpm came back. A lot of our fuel in Canada is 10%...

    Inital service check

Go to the dealer. Mine is overdue and called. They said that the oil is the least they do. Lots of re-torques all over the bike. The big thing is the belt tension. Makes sense. And The Budds thing is pretty important. I actually blew through my 1st inspection by 600km. and I was pretty freaked...

I guess BRP doesn't know I already own one

I bought my Spyder in Feb. and just got a letter from BRP apologizing for sending my welcome kit in the wrong language!?!?:roflblack: That's it....first I've heard from them. Although they did say in the letter that they were quite concerned that this had happened and would be taking steps to...

    ECU reset

I don't mind the occasional pop or spit. As someone said I think a certain amount is normal with a pipe. My bike has developed a stutter and lack of power at low rpm. When turning at an intersection it will either threaten to stall or if you gas it to push through this zone then it's a...

    ECU reset

I just got some permatex ultra copper rtv. I'll give it a try. I hope the pipe has stayed true after it was torqued. I'll let you know. I'll let it set up for about 24 hrs and then do a reset. Thanx Max

    ECU reset

Since installing my Hindle the bike has developed a stutter and spit at low throttle settings. Also backfiring when the throttle comes off. I did a reset when I installed it but my question is this....do you need to disconnect the neg AND the pos on the batt? I can weld just about anything with...

    checking oil

I wonder if you have the same problem I did. Is there a fuel smell to the oil you removed from the tank? Is it greenish looking? It was determined that mine was probably over filled at the shop and being new, it had been started and stopped in the showroom without the rings being seated. This...

    Secret Rotex ?

I know with my sled Bombardier tailors the warranty claim to the % of internal destruction. I think if it was over 75% then you just got a new engine. Anything below and they would rebuild. It may have something to do with it but I would think the shop would make that determination. Max

    First ride!

After staring at my 2008 Red SM5 for two months in my garage I finally got to ride yesterday! I put about 100 kms. on it and I get it now.....this thing is way too much fun!!! Once you realize that it won't in fact tip over in a turn, my confidence built quite quickly. I adjusted the front...

    out with the old

Not sure about that. How old is the fuel? If it's just from the winter you should be fine with a top up of fresh fuel. When you put it away you can put some fuel stabilizer in the tank and eliminate the problem next time. Max

    Weather must good

I am truly happy that people are out and about on their Spyders but....I gotta tell ya.....your just killing Canadians with that kind of talk! Yeah I know, we chose to live here. Someone has to stick around up here in the winter to keep the heat on!:banghead: Max Soon I hope!

I need trailer to bring home Spyder

My Spyder is going back to the dealer tomorrow. This is what I'm using. I rented it for $50.00 a day. I used 3 2x10 boards for ramps and 2 people were able to load it easily. (Not able to start it) Hope this helps. I needed an enclosed unit as you can tell with all the white stuff on the ground...
