• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Micron Packing Experiance

According to NoMagic, the Micron factory packing is forced to the rear quickly in a big two cyl. application like the Sypder unless the packing is "wired" in place vs. the "packing tape" approach used by the factory. The result is excessive heat at the inlet side of the pipe and , in my case...

    Micron Packing Experiance

I repacked mu Carbon Fiber Micron Twice. The second time I wrapped steel wool arround the center tube before I wrapped the fiberglass blanket. Secured with stainless wire wraps. We'll see how it works. Mine blew both rubber seale out the second time around. I'm gonna try the Leo Vince.

Pipe Brand and Miles on it

Micron, loud, good performance, had to repack glass as it was "blown" to the rear portion of the pipe by the big twin's pressure 9,000+ miles.

I have the same concern with the two clutch wires. I may cut and extend to avoid tension on them. Any comments?

Talk About Strange bedfellows- Size Matters

Well my wife's Smart Car and my Spyder share a garage and we have room left over. Talk about causing a stir, we can't go anywhere on or in anything we drive without drawing a crowd! (We love it though) The Smart is 1" longer and 1" wider than the SpYder. They cost almost, exactly the same...

    Another Passenger Footpeg Idea

The adapters were cut from a from 1" x 1" aluminum bar cut to legnth. Two holes drilled, one to fit the pin on the bike's OEM mount and one for the footpeg. Simply cut the bar to whatever legnth you want, mark the position for the pin and drill. (Suggest a drill press for accuracy) The 1/2"...

    Owner Cards

Funny, I neither the PIN, or the card. All I have is SpYder 2018 and at least 5 e-mails to the Spyder Team requesting the card and the PIN. Not much faith in the SpYder Team.

    Another Passenger Footpeg Idea

I bought/fabricated a set of road peg brackets to provide an alternate position for my feet on long trips. I mounted Longhorn Offset Dually pegs. When I installed them, it looked like a simple adapter (fabricated) on the rear peg would allow me to use the same peg set to move the passenger foot...

    Micron Falling Apart

I've had my Micron for about 1500 miles. Both seals failed. That's not right. I called Micron (per MM Maintenance blog) and he said Micron was out of business and I would have to buy the seals at $20.00 each. It would appear that there is no longer a warranty on Micron exhausts.

    Micron Muffler Maintenance

I don't seem to have a 5mm hex bolt on by carbon fiber Micron. I do have the rubber seals on the front "bulging" however. Is the carbon fiber different? Is it inside the outlet?
