• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Bruce, are you excited?!!

:congrats: on your new addition, Director. After the great impromptu ride over to Scotty's yesterday, dtang suggested we do it again...this time over to Canada. That would be an awesome ride as well. So if the weather holds out there may be a convergence somewhere in Sarnia. If and when it does...

    Wonderful Surprise

We had a grand time yesterday with all of you. The eats  at a Damn Site Inn in Hell was great. The group ride was great...except when we lost Bob (RLS). Who knew this personal tank was that full. :dontknow: It was so nice to meet Randy (Rando) & Bonnie and Scotty & Nancy. We...

I am so impressed with this "Family"

Thanks Deb for initiating this message and putting into words what we all think and feel about this great group of people. It's amazing what Lamont's expertise with forums and the common threat of the love for:spyder: can do. Hmmmm! I wonder if there's a Guiness world record :read: for...

Just got the bad news about Lamonster's Dad

Lamont, our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family. May our Lord grant you and your family peace in knowing that your father is now with Him. Joan & Bob (RLS)

    Heading to San Diego today

Lamont, as I read the many posts already sent to you, I see a common thread...that you have many brothers and sisters in Christ. Though none of us can know your pain, we all can identify with the loss of a loved one and the pain we experience when that happens. God commanded us to "love thy...

Input for 5'1" female ryder requested

Gayle, don't be apprehensive about Marcel. He is a man of his word. He is also a very busy man. You just need to be proactive about this. If he says you'll get your windshield in 2 weeks and it's over 2 weeks, then by all means give him a call. And if need be call him again. Just be...

    Road tested Spyder w/Kewlmetal handlebars

My original post was on Heli as well. The problem with this type of bar is that it only rises 1". Having a set back of 5" is great, but unfortunately a rise higher that 1" is needed to get the weight off your arms. Also, the width/span of the handlebar does not help a smaller people's...

    Road tested Spyder w/Kewlmetal handlebars

Early September I posted a thread and talked about the ergonomic issues I was having with the stock handlebars. E.g. sore hands, wrists, arms, etc. Initially I was opposed to giving up my PE center console. But when the pain gets too great it's time to be realisitc and throw in the towel. Well...

Input for 5'1" female ryder requested

Give Marcel a call. He really is a busy man and I suspect this is a small family business. Just remind him of your order and ask him to check on the delivery date...Joan

Input for 5'1" female ryder requested

Actually Marcel sent this windshield to bjt to try out. As it was, the windshield was too small for Brian and so he contacted me. Since we both live in Michigan, I rode up to his house and tested it out. In the meantime Marcel made Brian a taller windshield which worked for him. Give Marcel...

Input for 5'1" female ryder requested

I'm looking over the windshield. Between sunglasses and the visor on my helmet...that's enough distortion to deal with...so make sure you look over your windshield if at all possible...and besides the smoke colored windshield looks so cool, yet would be very difficult to look through...Good...

Input from 5' 2" female rider on windshields

It's good to read that I'm not the only female (or small person) out there that had difficulty with their windshield. I'm 5' 2" tall and both of the BRP windshields (original and touring) left me feeling greatly fatigued. At highway speeds the wind buffeting my head, neck, and chest was so...

    Motorcycle wave

This is an article worth reading. :agree: This was a refreshing article to read. Though I've only had my endorsement since March '08, I had the good fortune of taking private lessons from an MSF instructor. He taught me the importance of acknowledging each and every motorcyclist I meet...

Have a great trip and eat one of MM's  hot dogs for me...wish I was riding with you. We'll get together when you return and plan our ride over to Daddydarko's...Joan ...P.S. Marcel's F1 Slide is a dream come true! Talked with him today and everything's worked out.

Example of what helibar will look like.

Well behind or ahead, I'm not impressed :( with the looks of the Heli riser. I agree with Lamont, it looks unfinished. So my next stop...Kewlmetal...my ride/comfort is more important than keeping the PE center. I'll be meeting Daddydarko and looking at his Kewl-set up when he returns from...

    F1 Slide Windshield

F1 Slider's a winner! BJT just installed the extra F1 (short) slide on my Spyder yesterday. What a difference this windshield makes! There's no back pressure from wind nor is there any vaccuum felt in front of me as with the original Evo III. And compared to BRP's touring windshield...well...
