• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    IPhone IOS 6 issue

Radio replaced with 2012 model I use to have that same problem and it seemed to happen if I opened and closed the rear compartment (2011 RTS). Then my radio was replaced under the water intrusion campaign, and the connector had to be changed as they must have given me the new 2012 radio...

    First problem...

there was a recall campaign with the radio contacts, but if you are getting service at CFPS they would have looked and replaced if there was an issue. They did mine as I had corroded contacts, but never a dead battery.

    First problem...

So when you turn key, nothing on cluster at all? Sound like dead battery, or loose battery connections. If you purchased at CFPS I doubt thats the issue as Justin does a great job building bikes. Re-seat relays possibly. You could jump it, and get it over to CFPS and they will take it...

    New Trans Oil Filter FYI

BRP is doing this because it is cheaper for them. The demand since this is new is for filter and cover. They probably got a special price from their vendor to purchase as a kit due the sheer volume. Stocking separate filters would actually cost more in inventory

Should the 2015 Spyder have a bigger engine?

I think you have that backwards... Go to Germany where there is no speed limits on the Autobahns, and watch them blazing at 120 plus mph...or on the backroads doing 90.... They leave the Americans in the dust, and the vehicles over there are built to handle those speeds in curves, not just...

Another Step for Better Customer Service

Yesterdays mail had a card to take a "Jdpower" survey on my dealer and the recent service provided. It was all about the service experience. Just another thing BRP is doing to hear the voice of the customer. All good in my opinion, and may show some weakness that some have complained of here...

    Problem free how long?

14 months, 13k miles, no major issues such as limp or codes. Only had to have radio replaced under "water intrusion" program, and I didn't know there was an issue as everything was working fine. Tech just told me he ordered a new radio and antenna as the connector was real corroded. Happy...

    BRP shutting down in ILL

Fund the profitable products I agree...Considering Spyder sales grew 45% or so last year, and boat sales fell, put you RnD money into the growth side of the business. This is probably the reason for new models, the enhanced customer service we are seeing in the way of pro-active phone calls...
