• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Footpeg Adapters & Install Questions...

Not an engineer, need some questions answered about footpegs and adapters. 1. Bought Kuryakyn front adapters #7939. Seem right size and sturdy. Are these good for about any style footpeg? 2. Will the #7939 adapter fit for rear peg changeouts? The slot on the Spyder for rear pegs looks...

ILLINOIS HAS A PROBLEM WITH SYPDER

Interesting story. I went to the DMV for my roadtest and they scratched their head and then took me out to a parking lot behind the office. First: I was told to start at this line, and drive between the cones (74" in width apart) down a path of 10 cones some 15 feet distant apart... Okay! I...

Challenge - Make this Mod Better!

Thanks bjt, I was hoping that MM will take a look. Tailbags are a good alternative for storage (when you don't want to load and then remove saddlebags). I think I've seen one (tailbag) strapped on your passenger seat sometimes as well. You pay $600.00 for this BRP luggage rack and backrest...

Challenge - Make this Mod Better!

I have a BRP Backrest, and the design makes attaching any sort of luggage to the luggage rack impossible, so I came up with this wood and metal designed support that attached by a metal ring around the backrest. So what do you think? The design is simple. Here is another view...

Any New Ideas on Highway Pegs In the Works ?

madmatt,:agree: These really look nice and I also am 220# 6'2" (eyes of blue :D ), please contact me also: [email protected] when available. I like the position, as I am considering new seats, and this position will be perfect for sitting upward with NM risers installed as well. Alot to...

    Russel Day Long Saddle

Very Interested. But Questions. 1. It says orders from Oct 1 thru Dec 5... Does that mean I can order on-line anytime between then and help us get the discount? What's the statement " production already scheduled for Oct 9th.." mean? 2. When you say the seat pan, does that mean the part that...

    SE5 - 4" Risers

HUh! :hun: Huh! I commented about risers not ging to fit on the SE5 just last week, and I guess I did not make my point clear. It was obvious to me when I visualized the mod. I think the only way this is going to work is to put the spacers back on, and if there is enough bar stock in the mod...

The Good, Bad, Ugly - Dealerships

Well there are lots of stories about dealerships. Here's another. First of all can't say enough GOOD things about Xtreme Performance in Colorado where I placed my pre-order 2/29/08 and delivered 08/08/08...(the day the Olympics began!) There service staff and business manager spent the whole...

    Help picking windshield

Before I even got my SE5, I had ordered the Cal-Sci windshield. There website had good info on which height to order, (they have 3 heights). They have a vent slot, (a plus or minus), that does not noticeably reduce effectiveness. Are you using a full or 3/4 helmet? I use a 3/4 HJC carbon...

    SE5 transmission

The SE5 transmission does as everyone says below, however, some have reported that in hard braking, the downshifting does not return to 1st. I have experienced this firsthand. On one occurence, when braking hard to avoid collison with a car ahead, I found myself at a stop showing 2nd gear...

    SE5 - 4" Risers

To NM and Lamonster: I have an SE5 and I'm concerned about installing a riser. I notice that the amount of plastic spacers seperating the throttle controller on the right handlebar and the SE5 Automatic shift on the left handlebars are different sizes. (the left side is only about 1/2 inch...

    Ralph Wayne Backyard Nationals Rally

Got a call, out of the blue from a serious motorcyle enthusiast and rider, and quite an "experienced" one at that. He's invited the :spyder: to his little backyard motorcycle rally. It's grown from a few bikes to over 500 bikes and still being held at his neighborhood house. It's called the...

SE5's are Really on the Move!

Well it ended well, I took possesion of my SE5 this Saturday in Longmont, Co. The team at Extremen Powersports of Colorado worked continuously Thursday 7th thru Friday 8th tinkering with the roadster and corrected what they believe were the problems. I got a final call at 4pm on Friday night...

    Tighten Them Front Springs!

Finally picked up my new SE5 from the dealer in Longmont, Co this weekend. It was touch and go up to Friday 8th, because I told them to adjust the springs ! As they were assemling the SE5, I told them to adjust the front springs to 3 and the rear spring to 4. I told them to test ride it as...

SE5's are Really on the Move!

Looks like my SE5 is delayed, Teacherbob. They called and are getting fault codes, VSS and it went into "limp mode" after 23 miles of riding. I asked them to ride it as much as they want in hopes of getting a good "break in" and maybe an oil change after first 150-300 miles. Well they started...

    Taking Delivery Tomorrow 8/8

welcome:congrats: I have good news and bad though. My dealer has assembled my SE5 and put on my luggagerack/backrest, and 12v outlet. I had the shocks adjusted for stiffer load/feel. Since I live in Kansas City, I allowed the dealer in Denver, Co. to "ride the hell" out of the bike with...

SE5's are Really on the Move!

Just a follow-up. My dealer said they uncrated mine this moning and are assembling it before they assemble their demo unit which was also an arrival. Thus I'm travelling to Longmont, CO (north of Denver) for a pick-up this Saturday. Decided not to ride it back to Kansas City, time problem...

    MAN what a day-

An awesome trip! :2thumbs: But those 700 - 1000 mile "day" trips have to be taking a toll. Of course I'm sure you've been messing up your yellow rear fender with those cute little state souvenier decals. You should have about six or eight by now. Is there room for the five or eight more...
