• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SE5's are Really on the Move!

:2excited: I have to make an apology to BRP for shamefully thinking that deliveries of SE5's was going down the same path as SM5's :opps: My dealer in Denver sent a deligthful e-mail that not only that their demo SE5 had arrived this last Friday, but BRP says my SE5 will be in Tuesday or...

    SE5-First In Last Out

Thanks to everyone, :2thumbs: At first I thought maybe I was getting over sensitive about what I hear and read is going on. I have a whole list of things I'm planning to change. I'm ordering a windshield from Calsci this afternoon. And being 6'2' tall, I know that the risers will be...

    SE5-First In Last Out

I know its been only 2 weeks since we've heard about SE5's being delivered. But the question to me, and perhaps some others is how does BRP decide where the first ones are sent to dealers vs. the first ones ordered by date? :congrats: to all those receiving their SE5's. But when I know I've...

    bad service in Pa

I am wondering too if the marketing of these Spyder roadsters is all about the push for sales and not for the service that eventually everyone of us will have to get. Aside from those on this website that have either (1) more experience than most at mechanics and (2) the time to tinker and...

    Spyder SE5 Report

I guess I also fit a profile of a newbie, cager, etc. My first experience with the "open road" was with an SE5 at a demo ride in Kansas City last month. And perhaps the roadster (it's not a motorcycle) was a well broke in SE5 vehicle. That may explain why for me, the ride was fantastic. I...

got the call for my se5 last friday!!

:dontknow: I was wondering when someone was going to ring him (Derwin).

    Fully Adjustable Windshield Now Available!!

:agree: SSL4x4 has a great idea, mirrored or chromed would be wicked on the black or silver!

got the call for my se5 last friday!!

Please Share with us... :2excited: 1. When did you order your SE5 (semi-automatic right?) 2. Do you remember your certificate number (pre-order certificate) 3. What color is it. What you are telling us is... That on Friday, 18th July 2008, the FIRST SE5 (Semi Automatic) model, (as far...

    Fully Adjustable Windshield Now Available!!

Looks good. Like the idea of graduated tinting. One quick question, can you still mount a GPS on the top panel? Second Question, will 3" risers affect the handlebars when turning at the lowest setting?

    Spyder Bucks?

Lamonster, Gets an A+++ in Marketing 101. The end-user is definitely the greatest tool that BRP (any company) can use to promote and sell. Now can you get BRP to buy-in.

    Spyder Availability

Just a comment.... This refers to the availability of the SM5 Spyder Roadster in general. As I read various entries, it seems that there is no problem with availability of SM5 Roadsters. Some people are quoting quick fulfillment of their orders 1-2 weeks, others are finding bikes on show room...

Cutting bars no big deal! Loose NO WAY!

My hats off to botH Lamonster and MM for making what I will call the "BEST MOD FOR 2008". I encourage Lamonster to create a poll at the end of the year in which we all can vote on our favorite mods. To be fair, every secondary market dealer advertised on this site has some great...

    Brake Line Location vs Exhaust

Very Interesting ! Let us know how, and what you did. I think this really could be a source of the problem. Especially, since some people say that the squeals come not early but later in break-in on the roadster.

    Longs Peak

 One of the things about (when I get my Spyder) riding "open air", I hope is that I will notice scenes like this in my riding. I love photography, and scenes like this are what I hope to notice more. By the way, was this recent, (summer 2008?). I didn't think there is that much...

    Pillion rider switch

:dontknow: Maybe if a 400 lb gorrila sits on the back end the whole system locks down. (So make sure when you are using Spyder as a "get-away" vehicle on your next bank job, that you limit the amount of cash or gold you grab or you might not make it out of the parking lot)

    Windshields

welcome Both the touring and sport windshield are offered by BRP. At a recent demo tour, the some of the SpyderTeam said they would opt for either, but one of the team recalled that on a ride of 4.5 hours from one of their stops to the next, that he preferred the sport (very short v-notched)...

    se5

Tattr2 :2excited: I also rode the SE5 in Missouri, and I absolutely love it! You won't be dissapointed. The shifting is really smooth, (do not throttle back), continue to keep throttle and push the toggle (at approx 4000rpm) to shift up and it moves between gears seamlessly. When you...

    Spyder GT pics

My suggestion in BRP's poll of what color next was "blue". This blue is that Malibu Chevy SS blue (complete with the racing stripe) I also like the blue down below.... Where did you get the Can-Am Chrome Raised Letters? Great Job:clap:
