• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RT I would say that their profit margin is a lot higher for the RT. Not a lot of engineering there, that wasn't already done for the RS/GS. Just good retailing on BRP'S part. IMHO Michael:doorag:

    Plug I kind of wondered the same thing but after doing some research it seems as though they stay put and the plugs are considered more of a permanent fix than the sticky string method. Michael:doorag:

    Warranty I just tell the folks that ask me about the Spyder that I would strongly recommend the extended warranty. I haven't had to use my warranty yet, but fixing things (minor) is part of the enjoyment of operating a motorcycle. IMHO:doorag: But like you say there are some that wouldn't...

    Plugger It would make sense to me that the plugs would hold better if subjected to lateral stresses (as in a motorcycle tire). This is the Kit that I ordered. I am wondering though (since no glue is used) if the plugs have to be lubricated to facilitate insertion. :dontknow: Michael:doorag:

    UP DATE Sounds like reasonable theory----Except for the fact that most have had the first up-date and some have not had the second (including me) and have never had a problem with steering after several thousand miles. (at least yet):dontknow: Michael:doorag:

    canisters Metal CO2 canisters along the side of a road turn into bullets when struck by mower blades. Might be an issue of Red not Green.nojoke Michael;)
