• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Flooding under hard acceleration

Sway bar I have the Sway bar option and in my opinion (even though it does improve handling) isn't the revolutionary performance enhancer that I sometimes read about. I think that overall the JB (properly adjusted) is the best performance mod for the money. I am not saying that the Sway Bar...

Is SpydersNest a legit vendor or was I just scammed for < $500?

Spyder nest I ordered from them once and after several weeks I found the item was never shipped. They kept telling me it was. I cancelled the order, called my credit card company and informed them to accept no charges from Spyder nest. Haven't heard from them since and hope I never do...

    Being Prepared

Wal-Mart I found the Slime compressor at Wal-Mart for $27.00 +tax. It is the Model 50001 and comes with all the attachments as well as a bottle of Slime tire sealer. I have already tried it out and seems to be very adequate for emergency tire repair. Michael:doorag:

    RIDE-ON "vs" SLIME

I have read reports that Ride-on is much better than Slime (for various reasons) but my question is "WHY"? They seem to contain essentially the same type of ingredients. I am not advocating one over the other, just looking for reasons to purchase one over the other. Slime is readily available...

    KewlMetal performance air kit installed

Noise I don't know the brand but I bought it at a audio sound business. It's the type material that is used in acoustical cabinets. The material is a foil covered rubber like material approximately 1/4' thick with a sticky backing. It is a little pricey, about $40.00 for a 3'X2' piece but it...

compressor Now that is a neat little rig. Is the power cord with the air hose long enough to reach all three tires from the secondary battery terminals under the seat? How long would it take to inflate the rear tire?

    Latest Update(steering)from dealer

Recall My 2003 was recalled but the weld was good on it. They re-welded it anyway. All of the ones they recalled weren't bad but all were re-welded. The other recalls I guess I missed or the dealer took care of them during routine maintenance. The Wing has been pretty much trouble free for...

    Latest Update(steering)from dealer

Frame Yes, I own one of those GL 1800 Wings. They did recall (with only a couple of cases of confirmed problems) and fixed the problem. I have put many trouble free miles on since, with complete confidence in the machine. I just hope I can say the same for the Spyder. I have a feeling that...

    New Guy ... Some observations

Problems I have no doubt that what you say is exactly the way it is in industry. My experience is a little different (Government-DOD). They would take the products out of service if safety was suspected. Might save a life. By the way welcome I'm sure you will be a valuable member here...

Air To take advantage of the increased intake air flow, be it with "Green" filter, KewlMetal performance air intake or any others that will increase the air volume to your throttle bodies, it would be necessary to add fuel to the increased intake air to prevent a lean running...

Official BRP Statement on Spyder DPS

BRP A statement from BRP maybe should go something like this: The Dynamic Power Steering Units (DPS) have been reported to be faulty in some 2008 & 2009 Can Am Spyders. At this time it has only affected a small percentage of the sold units but failure of these units could have grave...

Official BRP Statement on Spyder DPS

Safety I agree with your synopsis as stated; However, I also have a strong background in safety as a civilian employee and metrology laboratory manager for the department of defense. I have also taken part in determining when aircraft should be grounded for suspect safety issues that could...

Official BRP Statement on Spyder DPS

BRP The 2 mo. old letter from BRP does carry a tone of reassurance, but given the severity of defective steering and compounded by the fact that failure is more frequent. I would think that BRP should declare the Spyder either safe to ride or not safe. This they should do before someone gets...
