• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A few observations, if I may.

Picked up my 08 last July, with 836 total miles on it. Never will know for sure, just why I'm the 3rd owner, but, I have a couple of suspicions. * I doubt that the 1st two owners gave the bike a fair trial. Many aspects of an RS make it a beast to ride, especially early on. * It had a...

    Spyderfest 2011 Info and check-in

We'll be there. Jean and Dick Wells, from Vermont. Winter Texans, who spend the cold months in Brownsville, and will be leaving here on Thursday, and taking our time going up to MO. Looking forward to seeing a "real" group of Spyders! And curious, too. Will there be other Vermont Spyders there?

    Couple of service questions.

Thanks, guys. That eases my mind. I expected they'd tighten, being OHV, with shims, like my KLR, but your input gives me the "guts" to press on, till I get home to Vermont. See you in Cuba, God willing, and the creek don't rise. Dick Wells

    Couple of service questions.

Just got back from a 5 day ride up to the Texas Hill Country and back, from Brownsville, and have passed the 6,000 mile-milestone. So. I'm about due to leave the Brownsville area, for a long-winded trip home, to Vermont, with our Sierra DuraMax and Mountaineer TT, with the Spyder in the bed of...

Newbie question, plus an interesting tidbit.

Thanks, guys. Glad to be over here, on SL's. Looks like the free Page is better than the high-priced one! Not complaining, you understand, just delighted that I can see so much "real" discussion, over here. Going home to Vermont, tomorrow, in the early AM, for Christmas, so, won't be on here...

Newbie question, plus an interesting tidbit.

Howdy. Just found out about SL, tonight, and joined immediately, on my 71st b-day! Curious to know how you get to show which states/provinces you've visited on your Spyder. Is this available to all members? If so, how do I go about getting a map up, and showing where I've been. Went from VT to...
