• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Who has the best seat in the House?

Well, at least Putt-Putt gave you a straight answer. I ordered and recieved a BRP Comfort Seat and it was damaged so I sent it back for a refund. It looked like it could have been comfortable. I decided to spend a little more and get the Corbin seat. I like the way they have redesigned it into...

    Another Hindle Wrinkle

I recently picked up a used Hindle and stuck it in a cabinet to install at a later date. All of the postings regarding the muffler motivated me to get it out and do a more informed inspection of it. It doesn't have the slots so that can be remedied easily enough. Here's my concern...there seems...

    new brp seat ripping

I sent the damaged POS back. They offered to send a replacement...WHEN THEY GET THEM IN... THEY'RE BACKORDERED! No thank you, refund please. Yes, Recall them all. Took the Spyder in last Friday for the Steering Recall. Went to pick it up in the afternoon...they couldn't do the patch. The...

    Another overheated Spyder

Ken, Have you pinned down why you were overheating? I think questions have been raised about altitude, temp and mods. What is your take on that? Thanks in advance for any info, Tripod :joke:

    Another overheated Spyder

Well put. Five known fires expressed as a percentage of total production todate is, at best, misleading. The frequency of these incidents are alarming. And, the fact that the subject of this thread was riding when the fire was noticed, adds another ominous feature to the emerging trend. We...

    Another overheated Spyder

Does anybody here know definitively if BRP and the Feds have been contacted by any of the "overheat/fire" victims todate? Has there been any feedback? I got my SE-5 early in June and have been very busy spending dough on it, getting the recalls resolved and waiting on stuff to be delivered...

anyone else with trunk release problem?

Pirate Powersports in Riverside, CA makes a machined assembly that mounts over the stock locking post. It's about $20. but it looks very cool, works perfectly to "pop" the trunk open and threre's no spring hanging down to catch on stuff. Sorry, I don't have the contact info off hand. Tripod...

    new brp seat ripping

Sent mine back to Mosites. The front of the seat had literally punched two holes thru the plastic wrapping and the side of the box it came in. Needless to say, the seat was FUBAR. Shoddy packinging...shoddy workmanship?? A new Corbin is on the way. Tripod :joke:

Any negatives for the ISCI floorboards?

Yeah, I'm aware of them down there. The things are so robust though, I swear, they'd shear off the speed bump! Tripod :joke:

Any negatives for the ISCI floorboards?

Are you talking about the Kewl Metal pegs? With regard to the ISCI floorboards, the bottom of the floorboards are 41/2 inches above the ground. This makes them almost 5 inches lower than the stock pegs. And, of course, there is all the floorboard area which goes from the stock muffler shroud...

    lost spyder's rear fender...

Back to the "lost" fender for a moment. I was wondering if putting something like strips of inner tube rubber between the rear fender and the mounts might lessen the wear, flex, bad karma, or whatever is going on in there! Your thoughts, opinions, etc. Tripod :joke:

Any negatives for the ISCI floorboards?

Dragonryder, First, disregard the uninformed, snide remarks regarding the ISCI floorboards. I have them and couldn't be happier. I chose them because I have a physical need for them. I'm 6'4" tall so they put me in a perfect position. They are designed and manufactured to a quality you'll be...

    July Marcels Lowers Exhaust Problems

BigBob, Welcome, and I'm glad that you've recieved a few helpful suggestions about your windshield and fumes issue. I'm not going to question your choice of windshield, it's heighth, etc., because I don't know your personal situation. I do know that I had an issue when I recieved my F1...

    Spyder Problems

My Spyder is parked next to my Valkyrie IS MotorTrike. With the Packet Rack, two trunks and a trunk rack, the trike hauls a lot of stuff. It's big, heavy and reliable. For shear fun, excitement and "rider involvement", I'll take the Spyder every time. Come find out what we're talking about...

    Corbin Seat owners question ??

If you have purchased the "standard" Corbin seat, are you happy with it ? I have talked to the Corbin people and they say that a ride-in seat is much better. I'm in SoCal and Corbin is just south of San Francisco. Being an Enabled Spyderlover, that is a long way to go to have a seat made if...

    Vibrations

I have an SE-5 and I have a similar issue. At 53 MPH it gets a bothersome vibration, in 5th gear, then it goes away at speeds above 53. It only has 500 miles on it. I'm taking it in Friday for the Steering Recall so we're going to go ahead with the scheduled maintenance and try to diagnose the...

    Electric Shift.

Hot Rod, Welcome aboard man, Check out our forum for "Enabled Riders"...you might find a lot of info there too. I know that some have added the Kliktronic to the Spyder. I've used one of their units for about 7 years on two Valkyrie trikes. It never missed one shift, it was never repaired...
