• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Front Sprocket BRP Bulletin

Dealer still can't find SB 2010-1 regarding sprocket bolt. They will do belt tension check as they found SB 2010-10. They said they will not do bolt torque based on web site messages. Either BossWeb does not have SB 2010-1 or dealer can't find it. If anyone has a way to show the actual SB...

    Front Sprocket BRP Bulletin

Mine goes in tomorrow for belt tension and sprocket bolt check. Possible to do it myself, but good chance to check out service at new dealer (Town & Country Sports) which is 12 miles from home. Big HD dealer, but owner bought a Spyder and picked up Can Am product line. Hope they are as good with...

    Nelson Riggs RS Spyder Cover

New Enough has great price, but their note says it will not fit with BRP touring shield. Wonder if they mean tour or Ultra tour. :dontknow: If tour, then it means it will not fit with almost any after market shield.

    Lower engine temperature

No surprise to add another "It Works" comment to the pile. 40 miles at 78 degrees today with stop and go, highway, backroads. Mostly three bars, but did move to four as ride moved into the city. Five bars only at stop lights and then back to four. How BRP failed to recognize this simple air flow...

Are you as dedicated a motorcyclist as this guy (was)

Our tradition of viewing dead people in a box is pretty well considered normal, but when you think about it, it is pretty morbid along with paying respects to an urn of ashes for those who prefer cremation. Or, maybe like the Joe Diffie country song; "Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox When I'm...

    5000 miles

Follow all the advice above and then forget that you submitted the stuff. One day you will be surprised with a small envelope in the mail, probably when you are at about 7,000 miles. :D

    A sign of the times!

I bought mine at C&C in Brighton and so far, no complaints, but then again, no serious issues. They did the 600 mi and 6,000 mi service along with DPS update. Since I had to drive 60 miles, they always did the work while I waited. Their Spyder tech seems to be up on things. I have not had...

    Lower engine temperature

I believe it is. Now that I have had a chance to ride in warmer weather, I reach 4/5 bars earlier/more often than I did before the update. Don't know what to expect when it gets really hot, so might as well try to get some more air across the radiator. My money is on its way to AR.

    Hit an Alligator Today

We've all encountered "asphalt alligators", "concrete crocodiles", "retread reptiles", but real alligator speed bumps must be new.

Picture is great but written description regarding material used and how applied would be helpful.

Not so much the manufaturer, but the retail outlet, mail order supplier, local distributor, i.e. where can you buy them?

    best oil?

I think the 5W part was the BRP bias towards their Canadian climate. For those in the Northern states who ride in the winter it may help to use 5W, but in Nevada 10W will be fine. My dealer said that even though the syn blend oils do not have viscosity labels, the winter blend was 5W and the...

    best oil?

Except for the 5W-40 part. Here we go again. :dontknow: Changing the oil every 3,000 miles, maintaining the proper oil level and warming the engine before riding are more critical to engine life than which oil you use.

    International Adventure on Spyder

You would think that with "Can-Am" emblazoned on your Spyder both the Canadian and American officials would have realized that you were an ambassador between the two neighbors.
