• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any Videos on Seal Floorboards install

I don't have a video, but I did this install last week. The only thing that you do to the brake pedal, at least on my RT, was remove two bolts on the bottom of the pad, put two supplied nuts under the pad, install the supplied longer bolts to hold the nuts and pad in place. Loosen the two...

block off plate: Is it just me?

Thanks for the pics. That will give me a better idea of how to approach it when I get the lower block-off plate. I'll leave the upper area open and either remove the bottom panel or drill holes like you guys did.

Any one with Order Delays at Kewl Metal

I ordered some small stuff from them last Saturday. I got an email Tuesday saying the order was "Processing". I hope that doesn't mean that it will take weeks to get it. :( I've had to deal with other companies that use stall tactics while they have your money with promises that your...

Hope to have my grips Friday. Good luck with the sponsorship and congrats.

FYI- New filters and Maintenance Schedule for ALL Spyders

I'm getting my 600 mile service done this weekend. The dealer says they don't have the new filters yet, so I'll be using the obsolete one at least for this service interval. :sour: At least the "obsolete" filter still works. Thanks for the info Lamonte.

    Shock adjustment??

I set my shocks to 5 on the RT and set the tire pressure to 20 in the front. It corners much better and feels more planted/stable. When the shocks were set at 3, my spyder felt like it was wandering or floating in the corner and it felt uneasy. The higher setting makes the spyder feal more...

    Spyders in Scotland

Looks like the spyder is growing in popularity in other parts of the world. Glad the spyder is getting more popular. It should open up even more aftermarket farkle possibilities.

How fast can a spyder go...

I had the same question yesterday. I told the guy that it would do triple digits, but I didn't know how fast. He started going on about some bike that his "friend" has that will do 180-190. I was thinking to myself with my inside voice, "I bet he doesn't do that on the open road. If he does...

new riders of the spyder please read

Thanks for the tips. My dealer did tell me not to ride the brake, but nothing else. I have about 700 miles on my spyder now after a couple of weeks ownership and noticed the fuses and relays in the frunk were loose. I pushed them back in. So far no limp modes or other issues to deal with except...

    Original Grip Buddies

I was looking for something to increase the diameter of my stock grips, reduce vibration, and still retain the heated feature. I found this thread and ordered a set of the grip buddies late Sunday night. I received notice that they shipped Monday with a tracking number, so I hope to have them...

    Day two 360 Miles

:agree: I find that when I lean my head and upper body toward my hand on the inside turn, it helps tremendously. As I pull the handlebar towards me to make a turn, I start to move my head towards that hand. It is amazing how well it works and you don't have to make an exaggerated movement unless...

I wonder if spydering is on her bucket list?

Pretty scary. :yikes: It looks like she was having last minute thoughts about jumping out because she kept grabbing onto the plane and the skydiver had to keep moving her hands. It looks like they landed safely, but that could have been really really terrible.

block off plate: Is it just me?

Can you post a pic of the swoop with the holes drilled in it? I'm using the Seal FloorBoards and your solution may be the way that I want to go.

    Spyder RT wanna be

    1. I wouldn't consider it a touring bike, but I had an 800 pound HD Road King that I loved, but I like my spyder RT better. 2. Power is fine, but I wish it had more. I'm used to the torque of my HD, but the spyder motor is only 2/3rds the size of the HD motor. 3. Spyder is safer. It has...

    A few questions

:agree: My wife and I are not large, but we both sat together on the RT for about 45 minutes to get a better feel for the comfort and fit. During that time, we checked out all of the features and asked the salesman a lot of questions. Needless to say, we purchased one and have been riding...

    Just orderd Ultimate Seat

I like the look of the Ultimate RT seat, but I'm still on the fence about their fuel door. For some reason the chrome door looks like it belongs on a car and is out of place on a spyder seat IMO. Maybe the black fuel door looks better because it might be more camouflaged. I'm looking...

    Today's the Day!!!

Thanks for the invite. I may take you up on it. I'm a little hesitant to take a long road trip before the 600 mile checkup, but smoked brisket is hard to pass up. :D

    Today's the Day!!!

Congrats. I hope to follow in your footsteps some day. I'm in my infancy with a new spyder and only 390 miles on it. The miles will be slow until I can retire and have more free time for traveling.
