• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Carlisle Bike Fest

We are attending one day this weekend. Not sure which - depends on what day has the best weather. I will be sure to look close for other Spyders.

I hope those guys in Canada appreciate what it's costing me to go to their event.

I highly recommend poutine. It's not healthy for you - but, damn, it's tasty!

    Spyder Sightings

Finally - I was on my Spyder when I spotted another red Spyder RS. Today at about 3-4 pm getting on 83N (I think) near the Rt. 30 exit. I was coming off the exit ramp & saw the other Spyder going opposite among a lot of traffic. I do believe this is the same red Spyder I have seen in the area...

    Flickr help?

Did you download pics from your flickr account and then those are the pics you added to your SpyderLover gallery? You may have downloaded the small version from flickr. Click on a photo you have on flickr - go to all sizes. If you are looking at the "new" flickr page - go to actions & then...

Black RT & trailer in PA We were driving south on I-81 (a bit north of Harrisburg, PA). Saw two trikes driving north. About 1pm at exit 77. One was a standard trike - white. The other I realized as it went by - black RT pulling black BRP trailer! I'm really starting to see more and more...

    Grocery store sighting

Check out what was in among all the snack foods at our local Giant grocery store tonight... No signs indicating what it was, where it came from or why it was there. A bit surreal - but, very cool to just stumble on (figuratively)!

UPDATED 6.2010 Spyderlovers recommended Service Center List

Not to be nit-picky....but, this is where we bought our Spyder. It's actually MOTOsports (take out the first R) and is not a "cycle" shop. They don't sell bikes. They sell more recreational vehicles (quads, sea-do's, etc) & Spyders (the closest thing to a bike that they sell). Just clarifying...

    Good, honest dealer

We really recommend Hanover Motosports in Hanover, PA. http://www.motosportsinc.com/ This is where we purchased & had my 600 mile service done. Reasonably priced. Also, my husband test rode an RT last year at Stiller Motorsports in Kittanning, PA They were extremely friendly & pleasant. Spent...

    Low Tech Vintage mirror fix

When we were waiting for my Up & Outs we finally realized that is what is different from my husband's two wheeler & my Spyder - my mirrors are not on the handlebars. Makes a huge difference. The Up & Outs are a major improvement - but, I can see where mirrors mounted on the bars themselves...

    PA Ryder get-together?

I hate to do this But...my husband and I took a not overly long ryde today - and it made me realize that I really can't ryde my Spdyer 2.5 hours one way right now. I'm not going to be able to ride all the way to State College until I get highway pegs. The bike got too hot on my leg and my hip...

    Spyder Sightings

My parents just called me from their car - on the way home from work. A red Spyder (I'm assuming an RS) was behind them. My dad jokingly told my mother that it was me. Around 5pm - heading north on (Rt. 11) Main St. in Plymouth, PA - riding two up. Yup - there are starting to be more of us...

    DOT and Modular Helmets

I can't say for sure, but... We have Vega modular helmets (Summit II) and they do say DOT approved. I love how comfortable it is. I can't imagine they are the only one, though. However, I've tried several different modular helmets on and this Summit II is the most comfortable fit I've found...

    Personallized plate ideas?

Love some of the suggestions here! PA only has 5 character motorcycle plates, also. I decided against a Spyder related plate and already have AUTMCAT for my SUV. So - decided to get a plate to reflect the name I gave my Spdyer. FL0YD (with the number zero) - for Pink Floyd. FLOYD (with the...

    Deer Hit

Very sorry for the accident - but, it's good to hear that you were mostly ok. The Spyder can be replaced. The description of your thumb - I groaned very loudly when I read that. Let us all know how you & the Spyder make out.

    Spyder Sightings

Red SE5/RS Saw another Red SE5/RS sitting in the parking lot of Dick's Sporting Goods on Rt. 30 in York PA. This was around 5-5:30pm on June 5th. Apparently we decided to do a warehouse shopping trip in the middle of a Classic Car event in York. There were people in camp chairs in all of the...
