• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I wanted to solder the connection to the back of the board but with my novice soldering skills I thought twice and decided there was more room at the contact legs of the remote button.

    I had to order a keychain remote just because its smaller and lighter for easier placement. You'd have to look up your garage manufacter to see if they offer a updated remote. My remote is a updated version. The original is not sold anymore.

    Cant remember who did it but I did see someone also placed their remote within a RS speaker cavity and located the button just near the speaker. Do a search here on Garage Remotes.

    Neither the remote or button are waterproof. The remote is tucked under the hood dash so I dont think that will be a issue. I'm more concerned about the button. I may have to boot something around the leads.
