• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Originating new ISO grips

I dry fitted them last night. I have them at work to open the holes in the ends of them. I think I like the look of the BRP ends with them so going to do that (can always change back). I will post pics when completed. I also decided that I like them front to back and slightly rotated forward...

    Originating new ISO grips

Thanks for the tips I have been hearing the same in all my research. I also need to possibly machine the end hole bigger. I wanted to use my BRP weights and ends if possible. I will see when I get home tonight. Not even sure they would look good yet.

    Originating new ISO grips

I just got my new Kuryakyn black ISO grips in the mail. I was wondering which way most of you guys orientated them? With the rubber up and down or forward and backward? It feels better than stock both ways. Right now I am leaning towards forward and backward, but was curious as to what my fellow...

    Hand grips

Does anyone know if the Kuryakyn Black ISO-Grips work with the BRP anti vibe bar ends? Got it, per their tech department they will not!

    Question about coolant

You could have had an air pocket that finally "burped" (meaning it was stuck somewhere in the cooling system) after some miles of heating/cooling and bouncing. I would just keep an eye on the level and don't stress about it too much.

The Hindle finally blew, so what to do?

You could yes, but where is the fun in that? I think it sounds much better now. The Hindle seemed to crackle more, this is a much throaty, deeper, rumble sound. Like I said I may just use it for around town and riding with my Harley buddies. I would use my Hindle for longer trips and riding...

The Hindle finally blew, so what to do?

Well I finally got around to doing mine. I used a Magnaflow pipe. I have not painted it yet due to the fact that I want to get it tuned and be sure I am happy with it before putting anymore time into the project. So far I like it.

    Oil Leak

Ok so I just got from my dealer with my Spyder:clap:. Turns out it was the clutch cover gasket, took some cash and worse yet 17 days to get it repaired. I would like to throw out some mad props to Gater at Jim Potts Motor Group for getting it completed when promised and under the estimate. I...

Too Funny- Spyder 5 Mickey Fisher

" It looks like a Batman bike" "Do they sell them at Harley dealers?" (and yes this one actually was asked:banghead:)

The Hindle finally blew, so what to do?

Does anyone know of a stock 909 degree pipe you can use instead of chopping the one off the Hindle? My Hindle is dying but still ok. Was thinking about making one of these to "play" with and switch back to the Hindle when I want her to be a little more quite.

    Oil Leak

Got the part. Box fan on bike cooling it off right now. The part came with a yellow thread locker already on the threads. Perhaps that is why there is an updated part for the p/n. UPDATE.......Yeah my sensor was bone dry. The oil is coming from a main engine/trans section more in the middle...

    Oil Leak

I was thinking the same thing. My dealer is double checking that the one they show in stock is there. If so I may run up there and grab it. I will tear her all the way down tonight and check it out. OK en route to pick up a switch. If anyone knows what Locktite I need please post I will pick...

    Oil Leak

Thanks I will take another look when I get home form work. This sucks I really wanted to ride tonight and tomorrow since the weather is a little cooler. I guess I could, just need to pack some extra oil. So is this something that usually just needs to be tightened or is it actually...

    Oil Leak

Can anyone tell me exactly where the oil sensor is located? I did not see it.

    Oil Leak

It appears to be more major than just the sensor. I took the bottom panels off and there are drips on the bottom/front of the motor. Where the trans meets the motor????? I took a few pictures but they don't show much. I think I will let the dealer handle this one...

    Oil Leak

So I noticed some decent oil puddles under the Spyder the past 2 days (insert Harley joke here). Anyway I took off the two top panels this morning for a quick peek. I see noting on the top of the motor. I have the intake installed so no air box issue. (There is a tube directing overflow to...

    Growling rear brake noise

OK Here's an update. I rode her in this morning and so far no noise. I loosened up the actually cable sheath (the 3 metal clamps that hold it) which gave it some more slack under the frame where it comes into the parking brake assembly. Then I loosened up the adjustment. It was catching on 2...

    Growling rear brake noise

OK I loosened it up a tad. I will take it for a spin in a little bit when it cools done a bit. I did notice the bracket does not return like it used to. maybe the cable is too tight, not the adjustment but the routing and the holder clamps?

    Growling rear brake noise

I replaced my parking brake cable and adjusted the frame arm so that the cable adjustment nuts are in the middle of the thread. About 100 miles after I did that repair I notice I get a real bad brake growl when I come to a complete stop. It mostly happens right before I come to a dead stop and...
