• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Helmet locki

I just use a decent braided bicycle lock around the rear grab handles. Did not cost a penny since we already had it for the bicycles.

    Rear Seat Bag

Thanks, I guess we were right. I love the bag so far. As for the laptop part, well that will stay in the frunk. And the zips, I know nothing is waterproof at speeds. Been atving for years lol. Zip locks will be used on long trips.

    Rear Seat Bag

I purchased the rear seat bag from BRP this weekend. So far I love it, made well, fits in trunk perfectly and was on sale for 105 (not too far off the cost of a decent aftermarket one that would not fit as well as this one). I do have one question though, it has a pad on the inside bottom. It is...

    Stock Rear Tire

All winter long. I ride any day any temp. Not a big fan of cold and rain, but either or and I am fine. I am in Palatine quite a bit too, love the beer selection at Durty Nellies.

    Stock Rear Tire

Thanks that is about what I figured. I have a tad over 9k on mine. I don't do burn outs, but I don't baby it, ever. I know it spins quite a bit, even when shifting. I also ride on salty streets a lot, it seems to break loose on them even more. I could go another 2k I am sure, but traction is...

    Stock Rear Tire

After much thought about a new rear tire I decided to go with the stock Kenda. My next question, is the dealer the only place to get one or can a better deal be had somewhere else? I tried to find one online but my stock tire does not have a "model" name on it. The only ones that pop up are...

    trunk wont open?

Do you have it "loaded" with stuff? Sometimes when I have a few jackets in it, you need to press the lid down while working the key in order to open it.

    Brake pads

2 questions. What would the expected life be of the brake pads with 50/50 city-highway cruising? Would adding too much brake fluid cause the pedal to need to be pressed further to get stopping power? I was getting the brake failure light a few weeks back, added some fluid and all was well. 2...

    Black Widow Accessories

I usually do as well. But they seemed like a small family type business, and owning my own small shop I thought I would be supportive. I am glad I don't run my shop like that. I sell some items on my website via PayPal. I respond almost immediately with a personal thank you and approximate ship...

    Black Widow Accessories

I sent them one last email to make it right. If not I will be sure to post on every forum I can find about them. I cannot understand in this day how fast bad reps can spread that any company would do this. My bad for not doing some research on them first. I will do my best to spread the word...

    Black Widow Accessories

Anyone order from Black Widow Accessories before? I placed an order with them before the July 4th holiday and still have not received it. It feels like I am getting the run around with email. I am going to try calling them this afternoon. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with...

    LED Rings

I have a set of Tric LED rings en route. I notice they are shown with a switch. Is there any issue with just tapping into the headlight wires and let them run all the time?

    Radar detector installation

I agree a detector is a tool to help you not get a ticket. As for the radar locking on you, then the detector goes off, while this may be true, I usually see/hear you radar the guys way ahead of me, thus warning me to slow a bit. I can attest I have gotten tickets while running radar, I have...

    Yet another heating issue

Has anyone in your "hot climates" tried Water Wetter? I am using it in mine since stock. We had a few 95F+ days here around Chicago and mine was fine sitting in rush hour traffic for 50 minutes. I never saw even 3 bars from the top. I added it back in Nov when I took delivery of mine, mainly...

Quite often. My parents live in Lake Geneva and my buddy, who owns a Spyder lives in Delavan.

    Radar detector installation

Yeah is was. I crashed that one and ride a 02 ZR 800efi c/c now. The 800 is a little nose heavy compared to the 600, that one could be whipped around like a rag doll. He is on vacation right now, he'll take some pics I am sure. He used a RAM mount and a flat piece of plastic mounted it just to...

My buddy mounted his whole unit in the frunk and it works great. Hopefully he'll chime in here.

    HID's

They were from this place... http://cgi.ebay.com/Slim-Ballast-Kit-HID-Xenon-H1-H3-H4-H7-H9-H11-9005-9006-/270448157771 Unfortunately I broke them open in my quest to repair them myself.:opps:

    HID's

So I bought a cheap set of 40 buck HIDS off Ebay. I had them with no issues for about 4000 miles and a ballast blew out. Without shelling the 1200 for the BRP ones, any suggestions for a decent set? I have the stock bulbs back in and can't stand them.
