• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

MY VERSION OF THE HEAT FIX FOR THE MASTER CYLINDER.

yeah Snoopy I have it wrapped pretty good from connector to connector (only about 6 inches of the exhaust pipe) I imagine you could wrap the connectors too but they would have to be installed to do that....:doorag:

MY VERSION OF THE HEAT FIX FOR THE MASTER CYLINDER.

I got a little antsy and would like to ride before the summer turns to winter sooo, I did some research and also talked with Snoopy on the forum and installed a heat reflective insulated material on the MC (it's good for 2000 degrees and reflects 90% of the heat it exposed to) Also used some...

    600 mile check "plug in"

It does make you wonder if some service departments at dealers are up to snuff on the Can-Am Spyders. Most of them seem to be multi-dealerships and the Can-am Spyder is sorta new yet...

    600 mile check "plug in"

Had the 600 mile check completed. No codes or problems. Tech did tell me that the Heim links are ok but I sure can't find any paint markings in the webs anywhere and I do have the #4 stamped on them. Tech didn't know anything about this....Hmmmm

    Belt Guard

That's why I am wondering how others like it. We are fairly rural and they like to tar and chip as they call it. Sometimes you are stuck on a freshly done road and you can pick up a bunch of little stones in quick succession. Or also they like to patch areas and you are in it and out of it...

    2013 RT & RS Recall

Just read a note on fb from Can-Am that a safety recall is in effect for Canada and will be passed on to the US shortly. Involves better heat shields for the tandem master cylinder under the seat to keep it from melting. Just thought I would give a heads up spyder fans.:doorag:

    Do I have a Problem?

I would also be concerned about 4 ounces of oil used every 1000 miles. That seems awfully high to me. I have a lot of bikes through the years and the only one that every used that much oil was a two-stroker. Just saying:doorag:

    Low battery?

Just traded my 08 M109R in with the original battery installed. Also just sold my 1979 Yamaha XS1100 Special with a Walmart Battery in it that was 8 years old and still fired her up each and every time. Always have all machines on a battery tender. Just sayin'

    Front end wobble

Yes it seems the spyder does not like any lugging at all. Retrain your ear. That's was I've been doing and it runs a whole lot better. Good Luck. Shift her at 4500 to 5000 or even higher and you will be a happy camper..:doorag:

:doorag:Thanks Dave and Teddy for the ideas. I bought a car transport at PetSmart and it fits great on the back seat of my RT. It has a seat belt pass through towards the bottom (I used Motorcycle tie downs) Hooked them to the passenger grips. All the loose end store in the bottom of the...
