• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Guest what?

Went there too. Was interesting. One of the people where kinda trash-talked the Spyder, but the other was quite interested in my take on the Elio. I look at them as occupying different niches. The Spyder is my motorcycle. If I got an Elio, it would be as a short-range commuter car...

    Spyder Sightings in WA

I've seen a red RT out and around Lynnwood. Also, coming back from Anacortes Saturday morning, Red RT and a Green RS, both northbound on I-5 just north of Everett.

    My first thousand miles.....

A few days ago I went over a thousand miles on my RT-S. A few thoughts come to mind. The first is that this has been a complete and utter blast to ride. The more comfortable I get, the more fun it's become. My daughter got her helmet and jacket a week or so ago, and has started to go out...

How's this for Naming our Spyders?

I had debated a few names for my RT-S. Charlotte, Shelob, Azagog...... And yet the one that stuck with me the most was.....Bitsy. Except it's not very Itsy.......

It's been five years and the Spyder is still here.

Funny you mention that. Friend of mine in Texas has a Burgman 400. When I first started talking about a Spyder, she suggested a hyperscooter like hers because "everyone knows how hard a Spyder is to steer." I've not found it that problematic at all actually. *chuckle*

    Youngest Spyder Owner

Well, I'm all of 47 and the RT (Blue, natch!) is my first bike. On the other hand, my daughter is looking forward to....inheriting....the RT when she turns 16. It may actually be paid off by then. :)

Brought my RT in today for the 600 mile check (also to have the XM radio and 12v frunk outlet installed and to have them check that fuel gauge.) The parts and service people were going "you got 600 miles on it ALREADY??" My reply was "well, 598. Want me to drive it around the block a few more...

Got my Ride, got my Ticket, and Hit the road....

And welcome from another newbie! (Got my RT-S two weeks ago. It's a blue one too.) Washington State handles things a bit differently than Texas it looks like. There are separate 2 and 3 wheel endorsements. Also, if you take and pass a certified safety class, you don't have to have...

I'm partial to Quantum Blue. Though the white/green on the prototype hybrid is quite nice.

So I did my first "long ride" yesterday. 123 mile practice ride today. Edmonds to Bothell to Woodinville to Redmond to Fall City to Snoqualmie Falls (passed another Spyder Ryder there), to North Bend. Then I-90 to Issaquah. Promised myself a root beer at the XXX root beer place, but they were...

    Low Fuel Warning Light

I've got 444 on my 2012 RT-S, and I'm having the exact same problem. Low fuel warning, yet it only takes 3-4 gallons. Figured I'd let my dealer know when I brought it in for it's 600 mile check.
