• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RT-S/Zumo 660 GPS & XM RADIO COSTS

So where did you wind up installing the new XM antenna on the RT? I have an older XM portable reciever I've been using in the rear trunk and using it's built-in FM modulator. Problem is with the magnetic antenna in the trunk the signal keeps cutting out when I drive in different directions...

    Front Fender TIPS Disappointment

Just ordered and installed the front fender TIPS from Custom Dynamics. I'm disappointed that for $64.95 they did not include enough wire for the turn signal splice. The single wire with each piece is approximately 35 inch long and isn't long enought to route to the turn signal splice point...

    Still no DPS

I called BRP's useless customer support line today because my dealer still can't get a replacement RT DPS for one he returned two weeks ago!:gaah: The only thing they did was create a file number and said someone would get back to me. I keep making appointments to get this done but the dealer...

Rear tire pressure check & adjustment solution

:agree: I have this type of tire monitoring system on my motor home and tow car. Rubber stems will eventual leak with all the extra flexing. You must use metal (steel) valve stems. Also, these type of monitors have an accuracy of typically + or - 3 PSI. This is fine for my motor home that...

    RTS Won First Place !

Just got home from the Flying Circus Airshow in Bealeton, VA where they had their fall Airshow & Motorcycle Day. There were about 50 bikes and all in attendees at the airshow voted for one bike to win a ride on one of the vintage open cockpit biplanes after the air show. To my surprise my...

    Motorcycle Jack

Just bought the same jack yesterday to use with my RT. My back tire does not want to come off the ground. Where do you place the jack to get the entire bike off the ground?

    Motorcycle Jack Use on RT

I purchased an aluminum motorcycle/ATV jack at Harbor Freight today and just tried it out on the RT. When I place the jack platform under the rear portion of the RT frame (just in front of the exhaust bracket) the rear tire does not come off the ground. :dontknow: I'm guessing this must not...

    Utopia Backrest

Just ordered the backrest and was looking at the installation instructions online. Is there really any reason to remove the RT seat for installation? Looks like if the gas shock is released there would be enough room for drilling. Am I correct in my assumption or am missing something?

RT Front Suspension Arm Grease Fittings

Anyone know what size threads are on the zirk fittings? Metric? I'm thinking about ordering some 90 deg zirks for my RT.

Check your front pully bolt ...AGAIN!

What service bulletin are you referring to? According to the RT service manual the bolt should be torqued to 81 ft-lb . . . not 89.

RT Front Suspension Arm Grease Fittings

Not sure that would work either. The fitting is pointed straight up and like I said there appears to be a body part about 1/2" above the fitting.

RT Front Suspension Arm Grease Fittings

Not sure how a mini gun will work any better since at least one zirk fitting opening (left side, top control arm, rear fitting) has about 1/2" clearance with body parts. Help me understand how your getting to this fitting? Also, can you get synthetic grease for the mini guns?

RT Front Suspension Arm Grease Fittings

:helpsmilie: Anyone figure out an easy way to access the upper rear grease fittings on the front suspension arm? Although it will not need greasing until 12,000 miles, I was looking at how I would be able to get them with a grease gun. Seems to be no clearance on these zirk fittings that...
