• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Anti-Swaybar dilemma

Here's an idea which doesn't involve lifting your Spyder, but it will take more of your (free?) time. I installed my BajaRon sway bar by taking off the frunk. With the frunk out of the way the sway bar is right there in front of you, as are the grease points for the front suspension bushes...

I agree, but maybe he should lose his mind a little more privately. IMO going nuts is best not shared.

Mounting a Stebel Nautilus Air Horn on the RT

Thanks for your PM. Sorry, but I can't tell where you are with all those wires! For my Nautilus fit I simply located the OEM horn wires, there are only two, an earth and a supply. The horn push makes and breaks the horn circuit on the negative side. The horn has a permanent live, which is how...

Your Spyder should steer THIS EASY!

Hi Snoopy. Sounds great to me. I'm willing to spend the equivalent of $60 to self-tweak my RT's alignment. I'd be grateful for a parts shopping list and to hear how it's done... please? :f_spider:

    Battery replacement help needed.

I did this job a couple of days ago, maybe I can help. First, there is a blanked multi-pin connector and it is an advantage to move this out of the way. My workshop manual for the RT was not a lot of help in identifying it but it's possibly used for trailer wiring. It's fastened to the frame in...

    Odyssey PC 680 Battery

Wow, that is a deeply sorry tale but I'm pleased you got it sorted. I don't want any smart-assed battery of mine turning into an odyssey that I'm obliged to live through, my nerves are already leaning towards the shaky side and under that much stress would prolly cave in completely! OK, I'm...

    Odyssey PC 680 Battery

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping, too, but the co. I'm buying the PC680 from also does a range of terminal accessories which got me to thinking... :hun: What if ???

    Odyssey PC 680 Battery

The Odyssey PC680 seems to be the favored replacement battery for my 2011 RT. Will I need battery terminal converters of any kind to attach it to the Spyder's electrics or will the PC680 just hook up to what is already there?

What are you wearing for boots / shoes

These lined Clarks GTX boots are Goretex protected and as soft as a Neil Armstrong touch down. I have worn them every day on a 15-day Spyder tour and they were comfortable right out of the box. I can't say that about most of the footwear I've bought.

    Smoked chrome spray paint?

Thanks, Snoopy. My RT SE5's year is 2011 and the body color is Orbital Blue. I'm sure the list of 2013 body colors and their codes is what a paint manufacturer would use to achieve a color match. It is unfortunate that BRP do not appear to mention their wheel paint code separately. The only...

    Smoked chrome spray paint?

Thanks, guys. I've found paint specialists here in the UK who can exactly match the paint color for my wheels but they need BRP's International Identification Code for the paint which guarantees a color match every time but I don't have it. BRP must have used great quantities of their "smoked...

    Smoked chrome spray paint?

Caught one of my front wheels rims against the kerb. Not a lot of damage but it doesn't take much to spoil the look of the Spyder. Anyone know of an aerosol paint supplier who has that "smoked chrome" look in a spray can?

    New and need advice

Couple of years back we went on a 10-day tour of Spain. Our RT was the only trike among a bunch of regular motorcyclists, mostly 2-up. By about day four the ladies had voted among themselves that our Spyder's pillion seat was their favorite place to ride and they reached this decision without...

    Parking Brake Issue

A couple of years back, (not exactly sure when), there was a BRP recall to replace the cable return spring on my 2011 RT with a stronger one. This spring is at the opposite end of the cable from the pulley and because it is stronger it pulls the cable tighter and stops it from riding out of its...

    Spyder Handles (Screen Names)

I served in the UK military and for a time worked in a small section with one Jeff and two Geoff's. To make it easier to tell between us the first letter of our surnames got tagged onto our Christian names. So we became JeffDee, GeoffWhy and me, GeoffCee. I kinda liked it. :D

    12 Volt Receptacle Location

My wife has a heated vest and I fitted a BMW-type socket right by her left hand, fused to 10 amps. I don't use heated gear. I use this same socket to plug in a C-Tek battery monitor.
