• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cold day- Spyder didn't like it

interesting.... makes me wonder if this carries over to the RT. This past fall I spent a few days on an SE5 model and fell in love. I quickly decided that would be the way to go with the RT. But, my SM5 has treated me well in brutally cold temps without any issues. Would love to hear from other...

    WHICH ESI HID? 6000 or 8000 ??

/standby for a flood of opinions. This is about as hot as asking what oil or fuel octane to use. btw; these numbers are based on the Kelvin scale of color temperature so, here's mine. I vote for the 6k and I personally use 5k in the headlights and the fogs. My decisions was based on what my...

    CB...Worth the $$$$ ?

whoa..... Medican, thanks for the link. Looks like I have much to learn about the CB culture. Just from browsing that one page, the CB is looking like it will certainly be in my future. edit; Lamont, do you have any tech specs on the CB radio? Range, transmitter power, Channel range, etc...

Spyder - Comfortable as your only vehicle?

IN Western CT and I have not owned an automobile since 2004. The Spyder is my primary, but not my only. On backup, there is a BMW F800GS. Prior to the Spyder, the train was my backup when two wheels could not get me to work. Now I push through everything with confidence. Once you have all the...

    CB...Worth the $$$$ ?

Emergency Services? Does anyone know if you can select a channel on the CB to contact emergency services? I seem to often come up on crazy situations out there on the road. Tonight I followed a drunk for about 10 miles until he launched his jeep about 350 yards in to the woods. Even if I had a...

    Disc'd by your riding buddies

I was chatting with three Harley guys once at Marcus Dairy... They were checking out the Spyder and one guy says; "f-that, I wont go on three wheels unless I'm so old that I'll be (pooping) my own pants." They all got a good laugh out of it. So then I just told them how I feel the same about 4...

    Cold Weather Riders

Ski-Doo!!! ok, just need to throw this on the pile. This past week, has been what can be considered the first really cold week around here and I busted out the new heavy equipment. Ski-Doo - Spirit, bib pants Ski-Doo - Glide jacket I'm stunned and in awe. There was a few times, when I was...

    KEYWEST IS LOOKING GOOD ....

I know.... I know... it's shameful to even think of "getting a ride" for 19 hours. But I've riden that stretch of I-95 down on 2wheels in to Daytona in my younger years, and there was just nothing pretty about it. It was just grueling. now, if we decided to go west... well, that would be a...

    Corbin seats

be patient... it will take many miles to really break-in that Corbin. 1k-3k miles is pretty real... It's value should actually rise as it breaks-in.

    KEYWEST IS LOOKING GOOD ....

I would hop on board! After all that information about the auto train yesterday, I can't stop thinking about it. A run to KeyWest from Sanford would be awesome! Who's eager enough to set up some dates and plan it out? The little bedrooms book way, in advance. Maybe something in the Spring? Summer?

    Amtrak Autotrain

wow, the more I look at the details, the more tempted I get to take a ride on this train. A 17 hour train ride could be fun knowing that on the other end I can cruise around florida on my Spyder... the official amtrak site limits motorcycles to only 2 wheels, so it looks like the Spyder may...

    Electrical hook up....

just a quick note of caution. Yes, this is in fact ground and it's good enough to use when you need a jump start. Just don't loosen that bolt. There is a nut on the other side, it's not directly bolted to anything. I nearly lost my mind cause I had some issues after messing with it and it's very...

    LED Whip

this could be fun in place of the CB and AM/FM antenna... use the wrong colors and I'm sure you'll get tons of attention from your local law enforcement.. but good old yellow/amber could be handy in heavy rain and low visibility conditions. LED offroad Whip link for purchasing

    H7 xentec hid installation

I use 4300 in my headlights and 5000 in my fogs and I'm very happy with them. If you have a hard time locating a kit in that temp range, send me a PM and I'll tell you were I purchased mine.

new muffler or no new muffler

I have a Hindle that swaps out with the stock from time to time. (depending on how heat the NYPD are giving me) It just went back on last week, and that bad boy has well over 40k miles on it. If it needs maintenance, no one ever told me about it.. :coffee: The heat shield vibrated right off...
