• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    These helmet speakers ROCK!

Yes! I use these everyday and they pump! You may not need the amp, I use them with HEAROs and they still sound good while at high cruising speeds. The speakers plug to a little connector that has an inline volume control. That part is really crappy and will fail on you. First you will start...

    Mileage / Riding Statistics

sir, you don't need to live in California to rack up some serious miles and enjoy the wind in your hair... TJ, Congrats on the mileage!! Spyder owners rack up more miles in one year than anyone!! I recently caught an award show at a bike dealer. They were honoring high mileage riders as they...

    BMWBones!

hmmm...... F800GS, I have one of those right now and it's a great bike. I owned an XB12 and an 1125r and although I carry a ton of love for Buell - I would steer ya towards that BMW. Very comfortable on long trips, great gas mileage, just enough power, serious suspension and unlike the Uly, you...

    Power Steering Fuses

yup, so for anyone reading this, let it be clear that if you pull your fuses, you are doing it on your own. I'm not endorsing nor supporting, only sharing my experiences. I can also share with you that I have signed off on blaming anyone. My lack of active DPS has been recognized at the dealer...

    Power Steering Fuses

I pull both. Not sure what effect the small one in the front does as I feel no difference until the large one in the rear is pulled.

    Power Steering Fuses

I pulled mine early in the game when I was around 7k miles with no codes and no issues. BUT, around 68k miles my Spyder was flashed with one of the "updates" and in order for that to work the fuses had to be replaced at the dealer. (one of the "fixes" was related to the DPS) When I rode home...

    Taking turns lefts and rights.

    * disclaimer * * I am not a safety instructor * * the following is just one man's opinion from 1k feet* * if you want to try this stuff, please first go to a parking lot * I have kind of made up my own style on handling the turns and it has worked out great for me. It's not going to be easy to...

    100,000 Kilometers

/confirmed I actually flipped over at 62,137 and I only know this cause I did it again this week.. long story short, a couple of ECM resets/flashes brought me back to 61,xxx so I got the opportunity to experience it all over again. I'm an idiot cause although I had the little flip cam with me...

    Kewl Metal fantastic buying experience

+1 great experience and help as I worked through an intimidating installation and the quality is serious. If my Spyder exploded, I'm pretty sure that the rack would survive. Looks like it belongs on a tank.

Super Sunday at the Dairy, tomorrow 10/4/09 http://www.marcusdairy.net/ It's another "final super sunday" and although this is the third time they are saying this.... well, who knows... maybe it will be and maybe it wont. Either way, I'll be there and if any Spyder owners come up, it will be...

    studded snow tires

you will need to be patient cause it will take longer to get around when you get caught out in bad weather. I ride everyday and only missed 3 days of work last season due to weather conditions. It will depend heavily on how well your roads are taken care of after a snow fall. Where I live...
