• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Why no fuel management for 2013?

Let me say this... FB LOVES her spyder, but is sick with the problems.... I have installed heat shields for the brake master cyl and the gas tank... The master cyl melted, and the gas tank was spewing gas at her when she would fillup before I did this... the gas tank should not be the heat...

Why no fuel management for 2013?

I'm guessing your bike is not sitting... unable to be ridden.... I guess the joke is on the 2013 Spyder buyers.... they are not riders...Their bikes are un-rideable....Do your plugs look like this? Has your bike gotten so hot it melted the Master cyl ... and shudders and shakes at takeoff...

    High Temps...Limp Mode

Scotty, here are the before and after pics of the plugs for comparison. The after plug pic is taken after BRP at Pitbull make a change, and has 2000 miles on it. Now for the after pic. Still pretty lean. but not as bad.

    High Temps...Limp Mode

    ST heat issues

May go with a Power Commander. Other than a canned map, I would need to get the bike on a dyno to dial in the values for air/fuel mixtures at different rpm/throttle settings. Will have to look at the other options. But it would be best if BRP would send out an ECM flash to richen the mix...

    ST heat issues

I have shielded the fuel tank, But I really need to address the air fuel mixture ... the bike is running LEAN... the hot fuel can exasperate this, hope the shielding on the tank will help. but richening the fuel mix will help also. Wrapping the pipes will help move BTUs out the back... and...

    ST heat issues

Ok.. I decided this needs to be posted here rather than the general board.... As most may know, there is a heat issue with the 13 ST's. FB's had enough heat to melt the plastic cover on the brake master cyl. and she was having issues with boiling gasoline in the tank. The temps on the engine...

Statement of acknowlgement ST heat issues

It was 40*F IN Canada WHEN THEY WERE RIDING THE PROTOTYPES... heat would have been a good thing.

Missing exhaust spring and melted cylinder

Sny, I'm as frustrated about this as anyone. The heat effected areas raise concerns about the degradation of the master cyl seals, pistons and the condition of the brake fluid, not to mention the possibility of failure or fire due to leaking brake fluid. An 'effective' heat shield would...

Missing exhaust spring and melted cylinder

Actually... the corrugated metal piece contains the parking brake cable. That is a picture I took. But yeah.. it got hot enough to melt the plastic cover on the master cyl.
