• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    officially bummed

So, here's an open suggestion to BRP and/or some dealership - if possible - to offer a service to deconstruct and put a Spyder back into original crating so that it can be shipped overseas in situations like this. But I REALLY hope your dog gets to make the trip. Pete

Thanks Lamont! Cat back could be challenging.

Took the RT on a demo ride today!

For those in Southeast Florida - Broward County - Ft. Lauderdale area - BRP is at Riva in Pompano Beach today as part of 12/2-3 and Sawgrass Mills mall (somewhere - it's a big mall) 12/4-6. 12/9-10 at Broward Motorsports in West Palm Beach (about an hour North - so why do they call it...

test with the new street glide trike..

From what I have read on the Harley Boards the 2010 HD trikes - which the SG variant is one - and maybe the entire 2010 Touring line (but the trikes have the 103) have an imbedded cat in the cross over with before-and-after O2 sensors. From comments I'd say we don't know what HOT and lean is...

    ISCI to release new products

Maybe it can hold a yard of beer - and with a long enough straw. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yard_%28beer%29 Mind you not advocating drinkin-n-spyderin. Okay diet coke it is. Pete

    Bad Motor?

I would have guessed the paint as the culprit. It's all an illusion.

    Leaking coolant again

In the old days - maybe even still - we used to have a gizmo that would attach to the radiator cap (taking cars here even with an overflow) that could pressurize the cooling system with air. Slow leaks would tend to become obvious most of the time. Probably could be applied to a Spyder. Pete

    Lamonster BBQ Videos and Pics

You truly live in one of - if not THE - most beautiful parts of the country - rain or shine. A fitting place for your generosity - and I was not even there :gaah: Pete

    RPG Sold!

I think I now know why you were asking about a side car for the Spyder - might it have to do with "both boys" at once with their dad? You had to solve the problem another way. If so, that's so cool dad - and priceless. Best of luck to you - and be safe. Pete

    Removed Juice Box

No expert here, but as I understand it...anything electronic can be defective and given a target duty cycle and design life it is probably most likely to go defective early on - that's called infant mortality. Others please chime in and correct as needed. The fact that you cannot change the...

    I created a monster.

I am adding a Kliktronic e-shifter. Not a cheap solution to say the least and you still need to clutch. What drove me to do this is the anal desire to maintain the stock controls when adding custom-made floorboards. If I had it to do over again I probably would have gotten the SE5, but in too...

    New Machine Jitters

So far my 2009 GS - I guess it's a RS now - has gotten dual exhausts, high flow air filer, O2 sensor eliminator, fan controller, handlebar risers, and so far so good. I have not had the recall update done yet but enough here have mosty successfully battled any negative after effects - those...

    B.E.S.T vs B.E.S.T Plus

We in Florida wish that were so. The state in its infinite wisdom considers a warranty a form of insurance and the insurance regulations make discounting illegal. Yeah - I know risk ratings for car, health insurance, etc result in people paying different amounts for same coverage but I think...

New Goldwing Trike next to a new Spyder RT

I imagine you can put some seriously spiffy arm rests on the RT for $13,000 I can see MM adding that to his list. RT passenger arm rests: $13,000 list special for only $9,999.99 :D Pete

    First look at the RT

Now that the cat has been moved out of the can and mid-ship I wonder if they have O2 sensors before and after the cat...or if just one - where? Pete

    RT is keeping me awake

Obvious the passenger - now footboards - are adjustable. Hard to tell what has been done to the driver foot placement. In the video it looks more relaxed, but not clear to me. Any closeups of the driver foot "rests", brake pedal and SE5 shifter (re)locations? Pete

So here's what I know about the 2010s

"Have driver foot pegs 11 inches further forward" Wonder if that means relocated brake and shifter foot controls or more like highway pegs? Pete
