• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Suggestions for second shift arm

That's good idea. I've read whee you have to find the point on the lever arc where a full up or down shift moves about one inch along the circumference in order to match the throw length of the shifter. But adjustable is always better. My "concern" is where this new attached rod can simply be...

    Suggestions for second shift arm

Latest science project under consideration is to add an electric shift - Pingel or more likely Kliktronic - to the SM5. I know Pingel has a Spyder specific kit, but I want to hide the unit like mike3069 has (it's a Kliktronic) on his Spyder. But I want to keep the stock shift arm placed as is...

    Spyder electric circuit problems

Anyone care to briefly describe which electrical circuits are "monitored by the system" - I suppose those that when something is detected the Spyder goes into convulsions? While it is unlikely that both tail lights would crap out at the same time none the less why put the Spyder into limp mode...

Looks like the fun is coming to an end

It's probably of little "comfort" to you - or anyone - but I suspect there are many on this forum who feel they are working at the edge. I know I have survived several large layoffs at my company in the last year. Sometimes I think emotionally that might be as draining but then I could be...

Maybe I am too old or just broken down...anyway I was curious how accessible the brake pedal shown in venom21s first-post pics would be for me. So I stacked some scrap 1X8 on the ground so that the top board was just under the tupperware fairing and about just under the "ornamental" brackets...

    Spyder Lift?

Thanks Lamonster. Have you - or anyone - put some sort of jackstand like support under each tire once up in the air? For one thing - safety - and another some of what you need to get to is blocked by the lift itself Pete

Looks to me in the pic with the optional (means to me extra bux) passenger boards that the exhaust can has to be lowered. Also the passenger boards seem to give more forward room and of course foot movemenet whereas the new BRP passenger peg extensions provde more forward and down room. Not...

Leprechauns do not exist. With the shields down it could have been Tribbles though: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribbles Pete

O2 sensor eliminator and Hindle results

Just to keep the embers burning on "what if anything does disconnecting power to the ECU do" there was this post earlier from dltang http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11160 where her Spyder was running crappy and actually barfed a CEL once or twice on the dash. After...

O2 sensor eliminator and Hindle results

Yeah - me too. Thanks ataDude. From my - limited - experience in the distant past with turbo cars the word LOAD is kind of specific. No way the JB is measuring LOAD as defined by turbo guys, but in the end all it has to do is work and be 'simple". The rest is marketing. Pete

Thanks. Couple of follow-ups. Do you supply a replacement brake lever for the stock BRP unit to accommodate your brake extension? I ask wondering if the owner has to grind/drill the stock BRP brake arm. Whats the clearance between the exhaust and supprot arm? I ask due to a special (dual)...

O2 sensor eliminator and Hindle results

Off topic perhaps but watching the TBR JB promo clips they state that they are able to map to load - well as defined by 4-5 adjustment points. Aside from probably RPMs what inputs are they using to determine load? Hows does the JB know full throttle, cruise, accelleration, etc? IS ther a TPS...

O2 sensor eliminator and Hindle results

Yeah - someone much smarter than me really has to explain this power-reset thing. Part of me says if it works - and it seems to - then do it. What harm can it casue? None. But, what the heck us REALLY going on? :gaah:

    ISCI called me today!

Here's venom21's original post: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showpost.php?p=84284&postcount=1 And here's a pic mounted - prototype I guess. The larger metal brake pedal seems to be MIA and notice how the brake pedal is mounted...

    ISCI called me today!

Let's speculate on the parts shown. Maybe venom21 will chime in. Floorboards - check. Mounting brackets to replace stock driver foot pegs - check. Bag of nuts and bolts - check. Big black brackets - check (more below) Long mounting bolts for big black brackets - check? Extended pedal (brake...

O2 sensor eliminator and Hindle results

You definitley need to be specific whether you are talking about a drop in (to the stock air box) high flow air fliter or Ken's Race Air Intake system which eliminates the stock air box. It's the Race Air Flow plus higher flowing pipe plus O2 eliminator that Ken's fuel pressure modifier was...

O2 sensor eliminator and Hindle results

Here's what I have gathered from Ken and others in post across two forums. 1) The Hindle does not flow all that better than stock. Sounds better. Looks better. But the flow was purposefully meant to be close to stock for plug-n-play purposes. BTW - this is not a bad thing. 2) If I have...

    Helmet Temps

That's a steal. Designer Helmets http://www.designerhelmets.com/prodlist.php?cat=Roof&prod=New+RO5+Boxer+V8 Shows the ROOF Boxex V8 as 304 pounds 25 of which is shipping to USA so 279 for the lid. A the moment that translates into about $480 USD.

    Helmet Temps

I have always been intrigued by the ROOF Boxer and now Boxer V. I even have co-workers in the UK (it's really a Frech made helmet) who get get me one, but I have no idea how it would fit much less what it would cost. Chris - have you ever seen one or tried one on? http://www.boxerv8.com/...

Handle bars off set to left

Possibly the toe setting. On a car at least if the steering wheel is not absolutely centered before the toe is set - the toe can be spot on with the steering wheel off center. I am pretty anal about this when I get the car done. Mechanics either understand this and get it - or they look at...
