• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    3000 mile service

$225 is base line average. anything WAY above that... they're making you grab your ankles. shop around... and make an INFORMED decision. Spyders are high svc dollar bikes. but you shouldn't have to take one for the team to have it worked on. and there ARE some things you CAN do YOURSELF...

    winterizing/Spyderfest 2012

side note.... do a FULL detail wash and wax on it. and don't forget the seats either. depending on the storage conditions, it'll make it much easier to clean off, hope on and ride off; when the season returns. if you're OCD as I am... ;) yank all of the side panels off and clean them out...

Ready to buy a Spyder, please help.

sounds like some good deals in some areas. checkout White Cycle & Marine, in Chattanooga, TN. we bought our 2010 RTS-M5 there, at a good price; and I've been a third bike customer for over 5 years. they don't blow smoke up your butt, they have a good parts staff, and a great bunch of people in...

Swap out rear tire after 12,000 miles on RT ? - Moderate riding.

almost the same, exact circumstances. the OEM rear seems to be a softer compound than most; which is great for traction, but not so great for longevity. this issue IS being seriously looked at by Cam Am. we may see some changes down the road...

just made a res for 4/25-4/29 at Chatau Inn ; and they still have a few rooms. so if anyone is still thinking about it... there is still a little time. Arley was the night clerk that took our res, and was very helpful and friendly

    Mirror Clips

if you're talking about the main clip that the mirror actually rests on...?; I agree. popping them off from the bottom to remove it is easy. but the main clip on that stud is pretty thin and has no real strength. I found this out the hard way, when I bummped into it, while cleaning it one day...

    General cleaning question

I use rain X carwash soap. seems to work well for me. Plexus on the fender tips and dash plastics; and I also waxed the wheels (makes it easier to clean brake dust off). I have cleaned the tires with Simple Green once; but put a VERY light coat of tire dressing on the afterwards. AND... I...

    12,000 Mile service

just pickedup the RTS the other day; after having "parts" of the 12,000 mile svc. I had a couple of fluid changes, the oil & filter, rear axle seal inspection while the rear tire (Kumho Ecsta AST) was being replaced; and ended up with right at $500.00 for the bill. the svc mgr and recent BRP...

    rear tire wear uneven

16,000 on a rear tire is great !!! I just replaced mine last week, and was only able to drag 12,800 out of it. and that's with making sure the PSI was consistent (29PSI). but because of the Kenda wearing out so fast, I went to a Kumho. Nancy maybe right. you could have one side slightly...

    Cruise Control Jars Off

if you have the cruise control set, and you hit a bump in the road, and you have any wheel break contact with the ground; the nanny kicks off the cruise. at least that's what I was informed by a Spyder wrench. anyone care to validate or refute that...?
