• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Added oil to Spyder today.

[/COLOR]:agree: Just go to the Amsoil site comparing their oil to the others and you will see no matter which brand of oil the test results favor 10W40 over 5W40.

VFW Riders New District 2, Arizona

Not yet sure if any in our chapters as we have yet to meet with all of them, but their are some in the Phoenix chapters. When I first heard of the paddling as part of the ceremony I said to myself 'what are we back in college' but I guess boys will be boys no matter what our ages.

    Locking ffuel Cap

Speaking of thieves, my poor wife back in the 70's had just got a brand new VW Bug, the first time she takes it to work and after a long night shift she finds the Bug up on blocks with no tires. But the kind thieves did leave the spare in the trunk. Could have used a TRUNK MONKEY....

    No Vent on right side

No doubt BRP would have continued with the molded plastic screen similar to the other covered vents, which would have been too restrictive. Something like Spyderpops fine mesh screen should work just fine.

    Spyder trouble free until now

Best thing I ever did was the combo of exhaust, intake and JB. As far as the fuel controllers go well they all work well with the other two mods, your choice based on what you want to spend for features. The original JB that I have requires an initial period of feeling out the right settings...

    RPM Revelations

Agreed, it generally does run fine cruising at lesser than ideal rpms as long as your not constantly laboring the engine, which in time will take it's toll, probably fowling the plugs, or throttle bodies and possibly damaging the engine. Keep the rpms up!

    AMSOIL or BRP oil

6000 miles on Amsoil or any similar oil may not be the wisest as the same oil is used in the transmission. This was brought up before by better experts than me so I'm just passing it on.
