• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    It's Closing In On Us...

Tender time... Yup; :yikes: it is basically the same story (forecast) here as well. We have light showers today and tonight and tomorrow, then a cold front moves in and the highs are only to be in the upper 30s and mid 40s, for the foreseeable future. May even see some of that "white fungus"...

They just came in! Here is a sneak peak of our 16 F3-S Special Series!!

That color is very "stealthy" looking. :doorag: Sort of like the black helicopters that can show up when you've said the wrong "words" on your cell phone. :roflblack:

    Another mpg thread

Yes, once the refineries switch over to their "winter" blend, the gas mileage goes right in the toilet. I always notice the drop in my Honda CRV too. I haven't had my :spyder2: F3S long enough to check mileage yet - but just from what I've "seen" so far, it will not come close to the mileage I...

    Br windshield or route 129???

 Your URL should actually be bikescreen.com BTW, to the OP; if you don't mind a little wind in your face and some "buffeting" at highway speeds - the BR ws will probably be most like what you are used to with the adjustable screen in the lowest position.

    New f3s owner from Alabama

Happy Birthday  !! What a heckuva birthday present. :2thumbs: You will find the F3 a really exciting ryde. :doorag: If you're coming from the 2-wheel world, you got a couple of things to "unlearn", but it won't take long. Actually, I found the "getting acquainted" miles a neat...

Back in the saddle after 51 years

Small world... my very first bike was a BSA 165cc. If I recall correctly it was sort of an Olive Drab and Creme color. That was a bunch of years ago... ;) :congrats: on your new ryde. Hope you get a few more nice days to ryde before the snow and cold weather makes you shut it down. I'm...

    Details of Windshield Bracket

Thanks... All good info. Thanks a lot for the replies. I wasn't sure what a Laminar Lip was... but looked it up and found the company. I will investigate further.

    Details of Windshield Bracket

There is a thread here at this link. The OP:doorag: shows a bracket that he made to raise the BR windshield a couple of inches. At a height of 5' 10", I tend to get some buffeting at highway speeds, that hits me about halfway up on my full face helmet. Seems to me this rather inexpensive...

leave it to an AH from ny

Sure... let's have fewer guns. :banghead: That idea really worked well in Chicago... didn't it? :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Shes home, shes home, shes home, shes home, shes, home, shes home, shes home

Congrats and enjoy... :congrats: on the new ride. Yes, you will have fun doing the "getting acquainted" exercises in an empty parking lot. Since you've never ridden a motorcycle (2 wheels) - it won't take you long at all. Just take it slow and work up your comfort level by doing more and more...

Why Can I Not Ride Mr. Cognac?

Me too... the "association" cuts the grass, plows the snow, trims the bushes and weeds the lawn. Here in the Midwest we are getting a nice break in the weather for late Oct and early Nov. I been putting extra miles on the :ani29: as a result.

    Forum Advice Works Great

As a relative newbe to the Spyder, and to this forum; I must admit to having some of the same "feelings" that other new riders have expressed here. That is... coming from several years on a 2-wheeler :doorag:, it took me a few more miles than I expected to get comfortable on the :ani29: ...

H-D Clothing Still Fits I am also a recent convert from the H-D 2-wheel world - and quite happy with the new F3s. My H-D leather jacket is just too nice to not wear, so I wear it whenever the weather calls for it. :doorag: I've also noticed several of the 2-wheel riders (Harley and others)...

No fool like an old fool....

Yup, that was my understanding too. Not sure I will get the 600 in before the weather shuts me down:( - but I might.;)

No fool like an old fool....

Not only is it possible to have a ball on one... I'm banking on it:yes:. Mine is only a little over 3 weeks old (in my garage), and I too am working on the first 600. Coming from 2-wheels (H-D Fat Bob), my initial miles have been spent "unlearning" a few things and I'm making progress with...
