• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Givi V35 Locked on Spyder

Problem solved, I basically removed the center latch on both bags, (the aluminium billet part) and elongated its mounting holes by about 1/16 of an inch (.090 actually) complements of Dremel, so that the latch could be moved down slightly. Now the bags come off and on, hot dame, simply push...

    Givi V35 Locked on Spyder

The rack is GIVI and the area that holds the bag is a fixed unit, no adjustment. If you set the bag V35 into its lower clips and rotate it up without the centre latch installed all is well it fits fine and latches and unlatches. Put the fixed centre latch on and rotate the bag up, the latch...

    Givi V35 Locked on Spyder

Well I think the problem is solved, as I figured the problem is that the centre latch is preventing the red unlatching button from going full travel to allow both hock latches to release. When I take the centre latch off the machine the bags work every time and both latches at once. The...

    Givi V35 Locked on Spyder

Well, I got some silicon grease, took the whole unit apart (which is pretty easy) and greased all sliding parts. After working for IBM for many years their rules were “if it turns oil it, if it slides grease it”. These units have quite a number of parts that slide, and very few that turn...

    Givi V35 Locked on Spyder

I had to take all of the screws out of the inside of the case and when I did the guts came apart no problem and the cases came off the bike. Other than some dry looking grease on the latch springs, the unit is totally dry of lube. Going shopping for lube tonight and I think with the proper...

    Givi V35 Locked on Spyder

I would like to thank you all, I will attempt to take the units apart today by removing the screws from the inside of the case and see it will unlatch, I know once I get them off I will make sure they are lubed regularly. I will let you all know how I make out.

    Givi V35 Locked on Spyder

Scotty; Thank you for the suggestions, I have been twisting, banging on them, and trying to free them with no success, I will see if I can come up with some lube tomorrow and give that a try. I noticed that there are a number of screws inside the case that seem to in my opinion might be...

    Givi V35 Locked on Spyder

I just picked my New (used) ride. A 2009 Spyder SE5. It came with a Set of GIVI V35 side cases. My question has anyone ever had the side cases jammed in place. When I turn the key 90 % the front case opens but when I push the rear button to remove the case only one side of the latch seems...

The purpose of the original post was not to get anyone nervous, I just like to read contracts. If you have ever bought an insurance policy in the past there is always the contract. If I die they pay, "if they have a body", if you know what I mean. By the way thanks Bryce , I just emailed you...

    Best Warranty Question

Wyliec Thank you for you input, but being a past employee of a very large Computer Company, I have seen their contracts and some of the loopholes that can be use in their favour if for some reason they want out of a contract. BRP in my opinion would be asking for a lot of faith in them or their...
