• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    TricLights

Ordered some LEDs for turn signals, brake and running lights and the white and red fender running lights. I installed some of them but messed up a little so I had my dealer finish the job. They look WONDERFUL!!! I did not like paying the dealer for some of the lights but I am glad they are...

    Accessory Lighting

Put on some lighting from Tricplate. Took awhile. Put on rear upper turn LED signals. They seem to be working correctly. Put on 12" LED running lights/brake lights and the left side worked okay but the right side worked intermittently. Thought the positaps may have severed a power wire so...

    Windshields for RS

I am wondering what would be a good windshield for my 2010 RS? I need something that looks stylish but is higher than the standard WS that comes with the roadster.

    Reducing Heat from Engine

The pipes that came with the bike. I was thinking that I was shifting at wrong time or something like that. I do not know. It only happens once in a while. However, the heat off that engine is epic!

    Reducing Heat from Engine

I noticed a lot of heat coming onto my legs from the engine. With the Texas summer rapidly approaching, I need to nip that in the bud and FAST! I guess someone has developed some type of device to deal with this issue. Also, once the bike reached 600 miles, does the bike perform better (e.g...

    Getting the Looks in Austin

Took my bike to work in Austin, Texas today for the first time. Need to get my first 600 miles on it ASAP. Work is about 17 miles away. Parked it outside of my second floor office window and it was rather amusing to watch people stop and gawk at the bike and try to figure out exactly what it...

    Key Management

I do not lock the handlebars. Maybe I should but if someone really wants it, they will get it, assuming they have the will and the talent. I figure that is what insurance is for. Maybe BRP will come up with an easier way to secure the handlebars and/or the parking brake. Generally, when I...

    Key Management

I used a medium sized binder clip and put it on the key and connected it to the key chain. That should work for now.

I have almost left my key in the ignition twice. Is there a better way to keep from forgetting it or somehow attaching it to a keychain?:dontknow:

    Battery Issues continued

In any case, the dealer checked out the bike for the last two days and rode it all over creation and pronounced it "clean" of all mechanical demons. I am satisfied. I just got some LED turn signals from TricLED and will put them on soon. They were not what I was expecting. They are very...

    Battery Issues continued

Already switched dealers. I bought the bike at one dealer but servicing is done by another dealer closer to home.

    Battery Issues continued

I apparently bought the bike that way. I never touched the fuse box.:dontknow:

    Battery Issues continued

They did not say. They did seem to be convinced that was the problem. They replaced the fuse so it must have blown the undersized fuse. As long as I have it back by the weekend, I am fine.

    Battery Issues continued

It looks like they may have found the problem with my bike. Apparently, a wrong fuse was placed in the fuse box. The wrong amp fuse was placed in a slot that called for a bigger capacity. They are keeping the bike an extra day to test ride it to make sure it (low batt warning) does not show...

    Battery Issues continued

The bike only has 50 miles on it. The bike is new (2010). Bought it 3 weeks ago. I may take it into dealer tomorrow for new battery or I can change it out. The battery is under warranty so I would rather the dealer do it.
