• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

JUST GOT HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL

Grumpy Bob, I hope you can kick that infection quickly and that they don't find any other problems. Thank you for your service.

    Applying a wrap

I would gladly pay someone $150.00 for a professional job. Mine took 16 hours on my first bike (in my avatar). I haven't found anything that would look right with my burnt orange RSS yet, so it is plain so far unless I decide to repaint it.

    MPG for RS Sport

Mine varies a lot. If I'm running interstate speeds at low elevation it's around 30, at higher elevation (5000+ ft) at 55 mph I will get over 40 mpg. 35 mph twisties at elevation it gets around 35.

    Shock re-locators

Mike, Thank you for your response, the tires are wearing evenly to the outside. As to the shutter, I really hope I'm not flashing everyone as I find the modulator headlights very irritating. I will find a straight stretch and drop off my better half and see what's up with that. And as always...

    Shock re-locators

I read this last night and today looked at my tires, both fronts are wearing unevenly after only 1000 miles of riding with the relocators. I had heard nothing about getting an alignment when installing these. I like the way the bike handles with them on but I'm going on a trip in a couple of...

Pitbull Powersports New Front Shock Relocators!

Super easy to do at home, even a caveman (me) could do it.

    shock relocator question

Yes I have a little more clearance with the stock shocks and relocators. I think it about 1/2 and inch or so higher on my RSS. I was also able to lower my shock settings for a more comfortable ride. The big plus is that wind gusts no longer push me around.

I'm sorry Lamont, I hope you both will heal quickly.

    I hate Rolling Thunder...

I have two dealers in my area, one is 40 miles away and the other 112. Although they both take appointments and in both shops everyone is really nice, the dealer that is further away has a BRP trained tech that really knows his stuff. When I come in, he gives my bike his full attention until it...

    MadStad lens cover for RS/RSS/GS

I actually have some lexan in my garage that I was going to use to make some of these. This will save me the trouble. I wonder how much they cost and is that red stuff just a covering for the stickum?

    Water weter??

I use it, it seems to help a little. I just figure it's one of those can't really hurt sort of things.

it's all slowly(keyword slowly) coming together

No, full size ones fit fine, I just added a washer to make it fit tighter. Now there is no searching around for the smaller pegs.

it's all slowly(keyword slowly) coming together

I have the Rivco floorboards as well and really like the lower foot position versus their competitors. One thing to look out for is to not twist your foot when mounting or dismounting because that can tear out the little rubber shock absorber balls. I ended up doing away with them and just...

It's a good idea to keep your distance from the buffalo. Loud pipes do get their attention but not in the way you would want. Ask me how I know this.

    What Was Your First Car?

My first car was a 1964 Chevy Impala with a 327. I would race anybody that looked sideways at me and although I didn't always win, it gave me the thrill for speed. It was also my beach buggy, hauling me and my surfboard to the waves in my endless summer. Wish I could do it all again.

    Octane Reqirements

I agree with Illinois Boy. In my town all 87 octane has ethanol in it so I am forced to use Startron stabilizer in all my small engines and the Spyder to disperse moisture.
