• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Crack time tomorrow!

What it doesn't show is the path to get to "You Are Here"...the trip up the east side of the Bighorns is like taking off in a small plane. Within a few minutes of starting up the switchbacks, you've climbed over three thousand feet above the plains (pic is from Sand Turn where hang gliders...

    Crack time tomorrow!

Maybe should have phrased the title differently...:dontknow: But anyway, gonna' head over the Bighorn Mountains in the AM to take a boat ride through the third largest canyon in the US. This should give the wife the perfect opportunity to see just how well her '11 RT with new 15" wheels/...

    Another tire thread?

I have a BF Goodrich Advantage TA Sport H rated on the back of my V Star 1300! I'll be putting one in 205/65-15 on the wife's '11 RT when the Kenda is used up.

    The best of the best

I'll be using Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating on painted surfaces based on a test Project Farm just completed. I use 303 Products Aerospace Protectant on the textured plastic parts (just be sure to allow it at least 24 hours to dry before it goes in the rain). And the Rain-X...

    Diablosport tuner

Which vehicle and engine? (I ask because there were Dakota, Durango, and pickup RTs, and the engine could be either the old LA-based 5.9/360 or the Hemi.)

    Harley Davidson pickup truck

So that truck costs nearly what I paid for a completely remodeled home (steel siding/floor/walls/cabinets/plumbing/electrical/etc.) on an acre of property less than 10 years ago. I'd rather build a Factory Five '35 Hot Rod Truck that would run circles around any GM product while...

    With all these DAMN FIRES.......

We're getting a lot of that smoke here in northern Wyoming. I can't see the mountains three miles away and at times it is hard to see a home on a hill a mile away. I'm having to cage it over to our CMA state rally tomorrow, because I can't handle breathing all that shmutz.:gaah: Prayers up for...

Got alignment and want to give props

So trailered the wife's '11 RT to Spearfish, South Dakota (400 mile round trip) to have a laser alignment done after replacing the grungy Kendas and 14" rims with some Vredesteins on 15" wheels. Went to Outdoor Motor Sports and Troy hooked us up. Quick, professional, and knowledgable. He pointed...

    YAYYYYY...new rubber & different rims

But you can fish and ski with a boat...:p Just joshin'. I was a marine mechanic in Florida for many years, so painfully aware of the costs if you can't work on your own. And now I work on small engines as well as ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles...all expensive toys!

    YAYYYYY...new rubber & different rims

Finally got the 15 inch wheels and Vredesteins married and mounted on the wife's '11 RT, and got an appointment to get a laser alignment in Spearfish, SD on Saturday (it will be trailered). I'm praying that this takes care of the bizarre wear on the inside of the right-side tire. When I scrape...

    ice cream stops

Love ice cream, and if anyone is going through Sheridan, Wyoming who also has a passion for frozen confectionary, do NOT stop at the Cowboy Creamery on North Main...you will be spoiled and unable enjoy other offerings as much. Seriously. This stuff is manna.

Just how bad can tires be?

So I thought my wife's '11 RT had eaten the inside edge of the right front Kenda a bunch in just the last few short trips she's taken, and I am planning on trailering the bike to a laser alignment place in Spearfish, South Dakota as soon as the 15 inch wheels and Vredesteins I ordered get here...

Front tire wear on the inner side 2011 RT SE

My wife's '11 RT has eaten the inside of the right tire almost to the cords in an incredibly short time. Hers does not pull, and the bars are centered. I'm going to trailer it the 200+ miles to the nearest laser alignment provider as soon as I get the 15" rims and tires I ordered.

Right Tire wearing faster than left.

I hope the pressure change cures the issue, but here's some food for thought. The right tire is very likely to wear more quickly than the left, all things being equal, because it travels further in turns and curves than the left tire (in countries where we drive on the right side of the road)...
