• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What not to say to a cop

What not to say to a cop? My personal story, from decades ago, on the Western Kentucky parkway, headed back to Fort Campbell late Sunday/early Monday from a weekend pass. Had just bought a radar detector since I was making weekend jaunts back to Michigan fairly regularly now that I was...

“The truth doesn't have versions, it just is.”

Problem is, with that Dr. Phil guy, he twists opinions into facts so as to exert his opinion as fact. Person X did this....that is a fact. Person X did this therefore they must have wanted to hurt Person Y.......introducing biased opinion as a claimed fact. But it makes for good TV apparently.

    Why spyder riders don't wave

Not to bright, for an instructor.....a motorized bi-wheeled cycle and a motorized tri-wheeled cycle are both motorcycles. I imagine a motorized unicycle would even be called a motorcycle. I guess a one-fingered wave still counts as a wave, too.

    Exhaust

straight pipe? Anybody experimented with just a pipe like this? Maybe a chrome extension on the pipe for looks? From what I understand the cat is the main source of backpressure, so noise shouldn't be excessive. Also, since the cat is still in place the oxygen in the pipes is still being...

    Why spyder riders don't wave

People who still use training wheels should never take a hand off the bars for something as trivial as a wave.

    Ride On-maybe not for everyone

    Stuck in Reverse!

I start my se5 in gear all the time, like someone else said, just need to have the brake on. I don't leave her in reverse, because I have heard that the reverse lights may stay on after shutdown and drain the battery. So I back it into place, shift into first, and kill the power.

How close to 600 do you have to be, for the 600 mile service?

I guess spyder dealers are pretty forgiving on the numbers. I grew up around mechanics and spent some time in aviation maintenance myself, in those areas there was usually a "window", usually plus or minus 10 percent of the hours/miles specified. For cars and service intervals, I have always...

    @$@%#%^@ Limp Mode!

I hate to break this to ya, but three wheeled vehicles can be more stable than four wheeled vehicles. It is not that difficult to design one either. http://www.rqriley.com/3-wheel.htm Wheelbase and center of gravity play large roles. On a spyder, large percentages of the vehicle weight are...

    Mounting Tire on wheel?

Shows I haven't been in the tire business in a couple decades, I only knew of the yellow dots.

    Tire not round

All tires have high spots. They are labeled on new tires...look for the yellow dot on the sidewall of new tires, that marks it. All wheels are designed to accommodate that high spot, on some older wheels there would be a similar mark inside of the rim at the flat spot, modern wheels are made...
