• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey California Riders - did you ever think about lane splitting on the Spyder?

It is definitely illegal in California to lane split with a Spyder. And I agree with you, you would have to be a little crazy to try it... I think its scary watching the bikes do it. However the Spyder does qualify for HOV lane, so there should not be an issue there. I ride the HOV lane...

    Two Brothers Dual Exhaust

Loudness update... Hey all, I appreciate the feedback and just wanted to give an update. I installed the P1 tips yesterday and they definitely make a difference. I can actually hear the windnoise again now. :) Unfortunately, its still a bit too loud for me. I checked Two Brothers...

    Two Brothers Dual Exhaust

That is really interesting... The Two Brothers sale guy didnt even mention the P4 tips. He said the P1 tips were my only option. I still cant beleive there is not some sort of baffle that could just be inserted. I guess I am the only guy who wants the exhaust just for looks and doesnt care...

    Two Brothers Dual Exhaust

I agree, thats why I figured I would give it a try. But according to the guys at NMN, that is just not the case so Two Bros is giving me false info. We will see. regards, Arjay

    Two Brothers Dual Exhaust

Unfortunately, in my case it wasnt that I thought I wanted a loud exhaust. I really didnt. But the Two Bros dual was the only aftermarket system I saw that I thought really looked great on the spyder. So I just hoped that it wouldnt be too loud. regards, Arjay

    Two Brothers Dual Exhaust

Exhaust Mods? Is it possible? Yeah, exhausts are so difficult because in most cases you cant hear it before you buy it. You get so many differnet opinions. The guys at NMN said the Two Brothers was loud, two local dealers here in San Diego told me it wasnt much louder than the Hindle. Sucks...

    Two Brothers Dual Exhaust

Well after a few days riding it I am sad to say that I think I am getting too old... its just too loud for me. I think I would have loved it 10 years ago, but now I need things a little tamer. I called Two Brothers and they told me that the only option was the P1 tips and that those should...

    Two Brothers Dual Exhaust

I saw the inserts. I asked Jody from NMN about them and he said that they are definitely quieter with the tips if you measure with a meter, but you cant tell a difference with your ear. Has anyone here used them? Was your experience the same?

    Cal Sci Windshield question

Thanks for all the replies. I contacted Mark at CalSci, he gave me some tests to do to see if the XL would stop the buffeting. I will give those a try and see what happens. He was very helpful.

    Cal Sci Windshield question

After reading all the windshield posts I opted for the Cal Sci, I am only 5,8 but have the NMN 3 inch risers so I sit more upright and thus went for the Large. When riding, the top of the windshield is right about chin level. My question is: when I am riding, my head vibrates. I dont know...

    Two Brothers Dual Exhaust

So I got my Two Brothers Dual Slip On from NMN and put it on Saturday. It sounds great, it has a deep throaty tone. But boy, it sure is loud. Wont be sneaking up on anyone. It louder than I would prefer, but I really like the look and there werent any other options that I could find that...

    risers?

When I installed my risers I had to reroute the trunk release cable because it crossed over and limited the cables for the left side of the handle bars. I was able to cut the zip tie in the front of the spyder shown in the photos by Lamonster without removing the trunk. Its visible from the...

    Greetings from the Pacific NW

welcome Here is my 2 cents on the your questions: 1) I found that buying from a local dealer let me build a bit of a relationship with them. They now give me discounts on other gear that I need when I walk in because the recognise me. Of course, they still needed to have a good price...

    NMN risers and cable routing

Cable slack and the rubber cowl... Hey all, So I attempted my NMN 3 inch riser install yesterday. Definitely had to reroute the trunk cable to get it out of the way of the ones on the clutch side. Absolutely needed to cut the zip tie shown in Lamonsters photo otherwise there was just not...

    Exhaust Maintenance Questions...

Thank you for the info. Too bad about the TBR pipes. I guess it boils down to the Micron from NMN and the Hindle then. Thanks again. Arjay

    Exhaust Maintenance Questions...

Hey All, I am looking for a new exhaust for the spyder. I have read the various threads here and have tried to listen to the numerous youtube videos comparing the sounds. From the videos I have narrowed it down to Micron, Two Brothers or Hindle. Several people have stated that the Micron is...

    Moved from riser install post

LOL... in hindsight I suppose those were all pretty subjective questions. Thanks for the answers though. I think I will go with the 3 inch ones and have a whack at the installation since San Diegian dealers seem to be CanAm snobs. ;) Thanks again.

    Moved from riser install post

Is there a huge difference between the 3 and 4 inch risers? Is the 3 inch riser physically 3 inches tall or does it provide 3 full inches of lift? I am just trying to determine which ones to get, I dont want the bars raised more than necessary. Thanks for all your help.
