• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    No wonder your Hindle leaks

Just checked....there arent any actual holes on either one.(new or old) The exhaust is escaping through gaps. On the old one the gap was on the side and underneath. The new one is only underneath....perhaps the one on the bottom is a breather? :dontknow: I am anxious to hear from others with...

Update: 15 min breaking in. 30 min. to cool. Leak on the housing is the same. I just talked to the dealer that sold it to me....they were very cool about it. They said they will contact BRP on Wed. and get it figured out. If this is "normal", other than a few loose rivets, my old pipe...

    Another overheated Spyder

I think that is a great idea Tom. Perhaps setting it up as a private area for members would also help? This would keep visitors from thinking that EVERY spyder has issues.

    Hindle Problems

if you have the skills you may be able to rebuild it...it looks like the leak on the can may be the result of the can rivets coming loose? IDK Anyway, if you can wait a week or so, I will pack and ship it express for $50 total to your door. I need to get the new one and find the time to do the...

    Hindle Problems

Yeah, I used the copper at the joint and the first time I attempted to do so it leaked. After that I read the suggestion to barely tighten it, wait for it to fully cure, tighten down again, heat up the pipe, tighten again. This worked for me on the second attempt, there was no longer any leakage...

    Hindle Problems

To clarify, I think the purchase fell into morally gray area. He made the sale in apparent ignorance and I was a new Spyder owner and didn’t know what I was looking at or listening for. Since I was told the pipe was only a month old, I didn’t anticipate problems any greater than the ones mention...

    Hindle Problems

Hey lamonster, would that muffler seal work as a gasket for the hindle? Is that what you plan to use or some type of RTV? I will be doing another install soon. BTW, just a heads up, you may want to make a thorough examination of that hindle when you install it. As you read (the reason for...

    SPYDER RIDER LOSES TO CANCER...

Suffering the loss of someone we care for truly hurts...hurts bad. I was talking to another spyder member today on the telephone about my brother who died almost 7 years ago and I almost wept. I believe it was C.S. Lewis who said,"we never get over losing someone we love, its not like having a...
