• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Keeping it clean on a dirt road

LongIsland that’s a pretty good idea! I wonder if a “California car duster” would be of value? Never tried one before but seems like it has good reviews... has anyone tried one?

Keeping it clean on a dirt road

Thank you for all the replies everyone. Sadly I’m on a (mostly) county road, some is private so the soy solution wouldn’t be an option as the county will do what they see fit. I’m not really into “accepting” it, although I have no issue with those of you who offered that suggestion, if it works...

Keeping it clean on a dirt road

I feel your pain cohoff... it’s just bad enough that a leaf blower has no effect and no matter how slow one rides it makes no difference!

Keeping it clean on a dirt road

Hi everyone, Looking for some input on how everyone keeps their Spyders clean when riding on dirt roads. We've got a mile of dirt between the house and the pavement and just one trip and the machines are covered! There's got to be a better way than washing them every other day.... I can't be the...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Well we did what we’re supposed to do... took them out and RODE them! Not far, maybe 45 miles round trip but we did get to try out the new helmets and intercoms and had some fun before it was time to come home.

    Bluetooth Ready

I agree, means the helmet is set up for Bluetooth system. Most likely manufacturer specific. Just gave up on my Schuberth C4 because of the comm system in it. Went to a Shoei Neotec 2. Love the helmet and just got done fitting a Cardo Packtalk bold. Not the comm system it’s designed for but went...

    Here's my warranty dilemma

Go for the BRP BEST warranty for sure! It will be accepted at any BRP dealership. Not so with an aftermarket plan. Also keep in mind, the 60 months on your aftermarket plan starts on DAY 1, so it’s really only 3 years of extra coverage (provided Rykers come with a 2 year warranty like Spyders do)

    on-line ordering OEM BRP parts/accessories

Recently had a really good experience with cheap cycle parts. Was slightly cheaper there and there’s a coupon code for free shipping on their site for orders over $99. Just try finding something for one of our machines under $99, I dare you lol!!!

Do not ride on gravel roads?

We’re a 2 Spyder family, matching his and hers F3s models. Last summer we moved to our new place down a mile dirt/gravel road. No problems for either bike yet. Just keep our speed under 10mph... now dust and dirt, that’s a WHOLE ‘nother issue. You’re gonna be washing your Spyder VERY frequently...

    First road trip

Hi folks. Looking for some advice on our first road trip. Wife and I have his and hers bikes (identical 2018 F3s). We will be doing 250 miles one way to see our daughter for a visit, staying the night and riding back the next day. Mostly back roads in Georgia and South Carolina. Planning on...

    Belt alignment

Thanks for the video link Chasinsparks, I’ll check it out. I did find the adjuster screws after work today. I was looking for something where the locknut is... should have known better. JayBros I would take it back to the dealer... yes it is under warranty BUT it’s an 80 mile round trip AND they...

    Belt alignment

Hey all, Looking for some information on belt alignment for my 2018 F3S. The dealer has attempted and failed, after replacing my rear tire it’s moved all the way to the left on the rear sprocket. I’m familiar with the axle locking nuts but for the life of me can’t seem to find the actual...

    Check engine light with P2530

Final resolution for my concern, picked up the bike yesterday after the dealership replaced the shutoff switch on the right side bar. All is well after riding about 125 miles. Total time in shop, exactly 3 weeks... Thanks to all who replied.

    Check engine light with P2530

Further update to report. After contacting BRP technical assistance and discussing with them the dealer emailed me a bulletin BRP sent to them. Turns out the code description is wrong, the item to be checked is actually the shutoff switch on the right side bar. The switch should be replaced even...

    Check engine light with P2530

So an update.. Dealer had the bike for a week and won’t do anything because the code is not currently set. They’ve contacted BRP for assistance at my request to see if they have any directions for diagnosis. Seems simple enough, whatever modules watch the ignition switch didn’t like what they...

    Check engine light with P2530

Well, ended up going with the other dealership in my area. They are only backed up a week so I guess that’s not so bad. Also having them check into the brake vibration at hiway speeds. I’m sure they will tell me BRP won’t cover that. Having them install a new rear tire while they have it. 6,000...

    Check engine light with P2530

Thanks for the replies so far folks. No recent work done (put a power plate on from Lamonster when I bought it last year). I'm guessing it's an ignition switch. One dealer in my area is 3 weeks out before they can even diagnose. Got a call in to the other now and am waiting on a call back.

    Check engine light with P2530

Good morning all. Was riding to work this morning on my 2018 F3S and had the check engine light pop on with a code P2530. Any ideas on what I’m facing when I head to the dealer? It’s under warranty but I’d like to know what I’m in for..... Thanks in advance.
