• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

XM Radio Reception - directionally affected

Sandy and I have a 2010 RTS that I installed the XM Radio to earlier this summer. The antenna mounts under the rear compartment cover, in the area between the cover hinges on a bracket. We LOVE the radio, but have noticed that whenever we're traveling due south, our reception often cuts out...

    need more spyder time

You are SO RIGHT... dang it all... another perfect day here in Illinois and guess what consumed 95% of the daylight hours?? WORK... one of the foulest 4-letter words a person could use (forgive me)! For me, anyhow, a necessary evil in order to keep fuel in the tank and keep my creditors at...

Sorry I have to vent ...

I'm a waver by nature, as it just feels right to me. I have so much fun on our Spyder that I really don't care if I don't get a wave back. There was once a time when I wasn't going to wave until they waved first, and that seemed so un-natural to me, and caused me to over think about the wave I...

    Called a transformer

Sandy and I have had the Transformer comment many times from kids. We get the biggest kick out of that. Also, we've noticed that the dogs in the neighborhood seem to get stirred up when we drive by on our RTS. Two in particular always seem to run along the road / lotline (invisible fence)...

    More belt questions?

Scotty, Yep, that's what I meant and shoulda said! Thanks, Bill

    More belt questions?

Scotty, Thanks for the comments, sound like a very good approach. I believe the jam nuts simply do just that... Tighten things down and don't provide adjustment of things side to side, as a previous post suggested. Would you agree? Bill

    More belt questions?

Bob, This sure doesn't seem like what I experienced when I did my belt adjustment. I thought left/right belt positioning was accomplished by turning the set screws by differing amounts. The jam nuts on left and right sides simply tightened things in place once the adjustments were made...
