• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    More belt questions?

Bob, Is this true? I thought that both were individual tensioning screws (turn CW to add tension) and as long as belt is where it should be side to side, you'd turn the screws equivalent amounts (1/8 - 1/4 of a turn, until desired tension is achieved). This was what I thought I read in the...

First impression of the new ride

Bob, Congrats on the new ride!!! I suspect that you'll become more and more pleased with every mile you ride. You've got the right idea about how to manage and steer control. Evaluate the wind affect with your windscreen full down and see if you notice a difference in wind handling. You'll...

    Average MPG for the RT?

On our 2010 RT-S we've averaged about 34 mpg generally driving 2 up and at speeds ranging 35 - 55 mph. We keep the windshield down most of the time. Using the "Gas Cubby" app for my I-phone, have tracked over 4,000 miles of travel and 34 fill-ups. The lowest MPG tankful was 29.4 mpg and...

    Chrome Bits for RT-622 Trailer?

In the '10 product catalog, I've noticed that the RT-622 trailer had chrome bezels around the front and rear side markers, however the product as purchased does not. These pictures were also used in the 2011 product catalog and on their website. When the 2011 Accessories Catalog came out with...

HELP! DIRT UNDER WINDSHIELD DRIVING ME CRAZY!

One more thing.... Forget about my recommendation to apply thread locking compound to the screws. Scotty (NancysToy) has seen it do bad things to plastic windshields, and the existing locking compound on the screws is sufficient as it is. Hope this was helpful.... Bill

    CB Problems

My dealer said they'd talked with BRP TechLine and they said there is no fix yet, that they wouldn't support a warranty replacement of my cluster. Said it's still being investigated..... So the double clutching of the PTT button continues for me! Bill

    Removal of the trailer hitch

Spyryder, Thanks for the google tip. I've seen that video before, it's a great piece of reference to watch. I really just want to have the instruction document for my records, to keep with other mod documentation I have. I'll PM Stevedfive and plead for a PDF file! Bill

    Happy Mother's Day...

We (Sandy and I) took our 2010 RT-S to in-laws for Mother's Day celebration, then had a nice ride afterward with the odometer turning over to 10,001 miles as we got home just before dark. Was a great way to cap off our first year with our Spyder (surprised her with it on Mother's Day weekend...

Hey Roger, Thankyou for the offer - that was very kind of you!! My brother-in-law who's ridden for years (2-wheelers) and I were talking today and I was surprised he'd never heard of the guardian bell! We had a good discussion today about them, and I think we'll be setting each other up...

    Spyder hit in rear

I'm really sorry to hear about your son's misfortune. So happy to hear that he wasn't hurt, and that it wasn't a more serious accident. I'm sure you're relieved as well!! It's a real shame that stuff like this happens... hopefully the distracted driver got ticketed? Bill
