• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Forum has been updated- Please read if you can't stay logged in

So, what your saying is, the aftermarket mods are the cause of our issues and the remedy is to remove, reinstall, and try again; basically, our fault. :joke: :roflblack::roflblack: I needed a laugh today... thanks!

    Seat Stud Adjustment

I have the tank bag too. It rubs the seat when you lift/lower the seat, but it does latch w/o a problem. Yes, the bolt is adjustable, just like the one on the trunk.

motorcycle and atv shops shuting down..no one wants can-am

Not sure it has anything to do w/Can Am. Government reports a 10%+ unemployment rate; actual, counting everyone, is 17.5%+/- Few are able to buy toys, especially if they've never saved any of their income. Cash is (still) king!

    video- Steering issue

Thanks for posting! Checked mine out earlier. Steering is smooth in each of the scenarios you cited. So, no issues here. No risers here... starting to wonder if those w/this issue have risers versus those of us who don't. Just wondering if, over time, something is wearing differently, etc.

    Owners without problems - Rollcall

2008 PE SM5 w/7500 miles. Mods are in my signature... no risers. :spyder: has run awesome since day 1 (April 2008.) Continues to run awesome to this day. No problems. :2thumbs: Minor nit early on... Squealing rear brakes. Removed the pads, greased the backs and pins, no more squeal; that was...

    Dielectric Grease......

:agree: Not a best practice for the internal electric components IMHO. I did use dielectric grease on the switch contacts for my heated grips. On our ride to Gatlinburg it was chilly the morning we left and the grips wouldn't heat. When I disconnected the switch and scratched the contacts they...

    New Reservoir Cap from Kewlmetal

I don't know. I'm one of those guys that likes what he sees, but can't necessarily envision artsy designs and products. I envision a roadster theme that includes things like... * Chrome, or black, fancy (ornate) designed grills * fluted parts * a replacement front grill that sits under the...

Spyder means Roadster... I'd really like to see some REALLY cool Roadster-themed products, and less bugs.

    Should BRP feel slighted?

The Aptera is SWEET! Hmmm, $500 deposit for the 2010 Hybrid... wife wouldn't be pleased, hmmm, does that matter???? :joke:

    Should BRP feel slighted?

Nope. I realize I'm being {some adjective} but I really dislike when people refer to my :spyder: as a trike. :gaah: In my mind, trikes conjure up an image of a lazy-boy recliner on wheels (PLEASE, NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE w/a TRIKE, it's just not my taste.) What I ride is a cross between a...

    Riding with a passenger?

I'm 6'2", wife is 5'10". I have the sport rack w/back rest which is adjustable (forward/backward), upgraded to the BRP comfort seat, and added the passenger extension pegs. Plenty of room, comfortable, and no issue w/foot position w/the extensions; she's actually much happier since the new...
