• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

iPhone apps... what do you need/want?

Good idea! At first, I thought - how's that better than having the Spyder Dealer List in your address book, then double tapping the dealer address and the GPS pops up? Then I realized we'd REALLY like the iPhone to do that for us  I've got the list. I'll take a look and see what I can...

iPhone apps... what do you need/want?

So, apart from being a computer systems engineer for Sun Microsystems, I'm also software engineer by discipline. In my spare time I've been writing applications for the iPhone, my first game, called "iGuess Numbers," is being reviewed by Apple and will hopefully be available soon. I have a few...

Holy cow!!! It's a small world... When I read your post, I thought "I rode the train with a guy for years to/from NYC who left to open his own place, just as you described"... his name is Greg Bidou. I never knew the name of his place, until I read your post. Here's some trivia... His wife...

So where is everyone staying for Gatlinburg?

I'm going with a buddy of mine, he'll be on his 2001 Valkyrie (has over 100K miles on it.) Unfortunately, we can't get coverage for the kids sooooo spouses aren't coming. We're thinking the same. Leave early on Monday and split the ride. Not sure yet where we'll stop on the first day; depends...

how to fix your brake noise

Took my rear brake pads off about 400 miles ago. Cleaned them AND the rails they mount on, greased the backs with high-temp brake grease, and adjusted them and the parking brake according to the :spyder: manual. 0% squeak, 0% squeal. :2thumbs: Funny thing. I can now hear a REALLY soft squeak...

Nope, ask away, happy to help. I bought them from Garganos in East Haven, CT; closest dealer to me in CT. I paid whatever they list for.

Spyder & Accessory Evaluation on 5,000 Mile Trip

I've found I get better gas mileage running 2-up... by better I mean 35 mpg vs 30 mpg. Wonder if the added weight is the reason :dontknow:

BRP hard side Bags VS. Corbin hard side bags

I have the BRP. For me, the Corbin's are too big, too expensive, and not removable. No offense to those who have them, they're just not my style. Here are some pics: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/album.php?albumid=363

Be sure to drop a little loctite on the bolts before you tighten the nuts, otherwise risk having them vibrate off.
