• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    F3T--STUCK/CLOSED GLOVE BOX

Mine was the exact same way when new. In fact, I would lubricate all of the hinges and locks and mating latches on the saddle bag doors. It just makes everything work better. The dealer gets a prep fee and this should be on the agenda. Another tip is to lubricate the rubber seal under the gas...

    RT rear tire

I just intstalled a Michelin Defender T+H 205/60/15 just today. The tire shop looked at my wheel with question marks in his eyes but when he put it on the machine he said no problem. He didnt balance it and I wasn’t too concerned. I went out for a 40 mile test drive and had no vibration...

I know that plenty of other folks are using this tire and can chime in as to what mileage they are getting.

    Belt Tension

My suggestion would be to return to the dealer and have them adjust the belt tension to wear it should be. They should have special equipment fo r that. Seems way too high!

    Will a 205/60 work on my 2015 F3 S

What else could it be? Lower pressure should wear the outside first, not the inside. I ride “agresssively” but don’t spin the rear tire on take off. The outside of the tire has plenty left.

    Will a 205/60 work on my 2015 F3 S

Just order the Michelin Defender in the 205/60/15 size from Tirerack. I have the Yokohama S Drive and the middle is to wear bars at under 9,000 miles. Been running it at 18 lbs. one up. Great tire but want to check out the new Defender.

You might try electrical contact cleaner sprayed inside the switches. Then you can spray the other switches on the handlebar.

    Brake pads

I looked at my brake pads while they were still on the bike. They looked like they needed changing at 17,000 miles. Once I pulled them off though, they didn’t need changing, but since I already had everything apart I replaced them with new EBC pads from BajaRon for about 100 bucks. Well worth...

    Bad battery...what brand is recommended?

Three different bikes and three Yuasa batteries suddenly went bad. We couldn’t even jump start them. This has been over the past 25 years though, the most recent one was last summer and it was replaced by the dealer on my wife’s 2015 RTL.

Strong gasoline smell after riding - is this common? Any fix?

I find the same situation with several motorcycles , could be engine heating up the tank and fumes escaping from venting. You and i are Texans after all. I have found that filling up before i return home helps keep the fumes to a minimum, mostly fuel in the tank rather than fumes. Worth a try!

    Axle adjusters

Try lowering your tire back to the ground while the axle is still loose. That pushes the axle forward against the adjusters allowing you to tighten the axle easily. Finless Bob deserves credit for this hint. A little grease helps too.
