• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Buzzing

Buzzing or Howling? Is it a buzzing sound or a howling sound? I get that all the time on my SE RS and had a thread opened on this, as well as brought the bike back to the dealer and had a service department manager come out and ride the bike, only to confirm that this is the way Rotaz engine works.

    Overwhelmed........

$14K for a brand new RSS????? Take it and run! I paid $17,300 out the door in NJ for RS SE5 model back in June and thought it was good deal. $14K for RSS model sound like an unbelievable deal. Good luck!

    NY,NJ,PA,CT Let's do a weekend ride

Sounds interesting. I would have to bring my 14-year old son with me; he is now glued to the rear seat of the :spyder2: and won't let me ride by myself.

    4th vs. 5th gear discussion

Thanks Bob. I tried riding at higher RPMs, but that TB pipe roars like a monster and I am not too fund of it. Perhaps, just takes getting used to.

    4th vs. 5th gear discussion

Since I read the "Do's and Dont's" forum, I tend to stay in 4th for most of the rides, especially the ones around 45 to 50 mpg. I see no need to go to 5th, I am fine on gas consumption and have more control in 4th gear. I find it running at 4500 consistently and the engine sounds great, without...

    Spyder Sightings

Sunday night (9/23) around 7pm in Jackson NJ: Blue RT, female rider following a black Harley on Jackson Mills Road going South bound. I was in a X5 in front of the riders and my kids tried to wave to them. Funny thing; 3 months on my Spyder, spending hours looking around for others and never saw...

    Bob D.

I backed up over a pile of snow once, in a very similar fashion. Noticed the pile in front, but never noticed one in the back and literally flew right on top of it. The problem was, it was there for few days, so it was a solid rock. The car sort of hung on it, till some buddies of mine helped me...

    Customer Service After The Sale

:agree: Having built many customer service organizations in different institutions over the last 15 years, I 100% agree with you. I always said to every person I hire for that department "Salesmen can sell and move on. Professional Services people can deliver. You, as support, will be the FACE...

    Unhappy Spyderlover

Excellent point! I was waiting for someone to make it. I spend 75% of my time on the road for work and travel pretty much throughout the world. I have been to Canada (Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, etc) on plenty of occasions and I can tell you that we had rooms broken into at the hotels, we had...

    Dave & Teddy's Most Excellent Adventures 2012

Yoo Rock! Dave, I got to tell you, these daily posts of yours are addictive, but I can't stop reading them, so keep them coming. Also, now that my daughter is back home, I was stupid enough to show her the pictures of Teddy. Guess whose dog is braided now? Good thing she didn’t decide to give...

    CanAm service and parts

Try this site I used cheapsycleparts.com for few things that I wanted to replace on the Spyder and they have everything in stuck. I made 2 orders and both were on Saturdays and in both cases the items were delivered before next weekend. If you look into their OEM section, they have everything...
