• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    ISCI Fan Can

ISCI's site states that the Fan Can will only fit RS models up to 2011. Has anyone installed it on 2012? I am guessing it should work, but would like to check first. I recently ordered few parts from them and they are great guys to deal with, so I may just call them to find if nobody here knows.

Is there a special wave for Can-Am riders??

I believe they are now called "Ricers". Applies to Japanese made Cars and Bikes, that are usually "souped" up - you know, rear spoilers on cars that simply do not belong there, or whistling sounds implanted into mufflers, so they sound cool, etc. As for waves... I wave to everyone, but since I...

    A beautiful relationship...

Indeed a very touchy story. I have 2 dogs, ages 7 and 2. I also have a cat that just turned 20 and progressively getting worst with each day. I know it is inevitable that he will go soon, but not sure if I am mentally ready for it. Considering that he lost ¾ of his weight, his hearing and sight...

    MSRP just the start

I do have a RS. I went with ISCI ones, based on a recommendation from a fellow member. Here is the link. It took a whole of 15 minutes to install them and they work great. http://www.isciride.com/iscirsautoparts.htm#armrests

    MSRP just the start

So far, about $1400 in 5 weeks. Sport rack, back rest, arm rests, new twin brother pipes, decals, IPS and some additional things that are too early to list. Need to stop, but just can't :yikes:

    Thank You

The Dos and Donts thread is extremely helpful. I just rode for an hour and tried to follow all suggestions, biggest being gearing up. I actually never came to 5th and was cruising between 43 & 52 mph. Amazing! The reaction from this bike, is just unbelievable. I kept the foot of the brake pedal...

Must See / Why out of staters scare me here in NY

:chat: I'll bet you he will be getting miles telling his friends of that day. Imagine being at that dinner table! Oh boy.... Who knew that out of all the things in the world, trains would be giving someone orgasms.

    New owner questions!

All I can say is "I wish I joined this forum before buying the Spyder". 5 weeks owning it and I have been doing it all wrong till now. Thanks for this thread and thanks for all suggestions. I do have a question on battery charger, which I did buy, but haven't yet opened. How do you connect it? I...

I think it looks cool :D

Sharp... I have to stop surfing this site or I will simply spend more and more on these mods. Every night I am on the site, I get more ideas and the urge of getting something is too strong. This looks really awesome. I guess I have to look into the dash trim next.... :yikes:

Whistling sound while riding at around 25mph

That's it! That is exactly how it sounds. I will try to pay closer attention next time when I am riding, maybe it is a belt, but hopefully with gearing up and down correctly, I will eliminate it. Thanks guys!

Thanks John. I am planning to bring the bike into Xtreme shop for the 600mi service and will see what they are like then.

Whistling sound while riding at around 25mph

Ah... Yeah, sounds like I am. I just did a search for "shifting gears" and read a post from Firfly that said "I don't even think of 5th gear until 65 or 70 mph." I am normally in 5th at 50mph. So, seems like I have a significant amount of adjustments to get used to in the way I am riding. I...

No, not yet. Still waiting for the 600mi mark and will then take it in. Thanks for the thumbs up!

Whistling sound while riding at around 25mph

There is no antenna on my bike of any sort. It is coming from underneath the front area where the gas tank, on two wheelers, normally is. I am not sure if "whistling" is the right word, but I am sure everyone understood it; it is sort of like howling - very low continuous howling. I am now...
